Title: question about hammer springs and TP s
Post by: desertplinker on March 21, 2024, 02:00:09 PM
Need some info on getting a few different hammer springs and Transfer port sizes that will fit in the 3622. Need to experiment with finding the correct balance.

I cannot make them and would need to know that they are the correct size to fit in the 3622. I am wanting a smaller TP to slow down the air flow and flatten the shot curve for lower power and more shots in the zone.

Most if not all the aftermarket stuff is going the other way, larger more flow and higher power, not what I want.

thanks.

Already gave you the part number and price of the Challenger TP in your other thread.

It’s a direct replacement but with much smaller hole.

I have 2 and a couple of/for the 17xx/PROD ones.

The 17xx/PROD ones, from large to small, are blue, silver, and red.

Small TPs and weak hammers seem to work best with the .177 caliber based on my buiilds  ???

I tried to use the red 17xx TP, the smallest, on my .22 LW MROD-barreled PROD + a Magnum Air Power .038” hammer spring (my all around spring), but it wasn’t as good as I expected.

The silver 17xx TP, the medium one, was the right ticket  :-*

My .177 builds, to reiterate, do their best with the smallest TPs though.

For the record, I don’t even have a chrono, so I just let the pellets fly and see how they perform at 25 yards, my max home range  ;D

Thanks Richard

Just wondering the potential with the 3622. Want lower power for backyard friendly, flat string with more shots would be nice. Don't know how much I want to tinker at this point.  thank you.
