Title: QB-362, anyone?
Post by: NickB79 on November 20, 2011, 05:40:30 AM
This gun looks like a Techforce, and the price looks good.  Anyone know more about this particular model?  Thanks

Equivalent, I think, to the Tech Force 97.  Rated @ 900fps in .177 and 700 in .22.

QB36-2 is the original model number designated by the factory in China.
The likes of Compasseco might add their own branding & redesignate it a the Techforce (TF) 99. Or in the UK, we see it as an XS36-2, imported by Sportsmarketing.
Looks to be a basic model with no chequering on the stock, but at that price, does it matter.
I've even seen a QB36-1 on holiday in Cuba (TF97), but then most of you US chaps won't have visited Cuba so you'll have to take my word on that one LOL

Same as the TF-97. Fun little Airguns to tinker with. Surprisingly accurate for their price range too. I have a .22 in my collection ;)

The QB36-1 is a TF97.  The QB36-2 is a TF99.  The QB36-2 is harder to cock and higher velocity than the QB36-1.

Oooops. My mistake. A little rusty on my Chinese models. I still like shooting my TF97 :)

I bought one from them a few years ago, .177 cal. I chopped the barrel on it and gave it a basic tune. Shoots great, it's what i let my friends use when they come over. They can't miss with that one unless they really are bad shooters. lol. I got the .22 cal version from archer about 2 yrs ago and it is also a great gun.
Worth buying but it is heavy, and thats why i chopped both of mine.

The QB36-2 is a beast! I bought a .177 long time ago, It is long and heavy but if I remember right she cleaned up well and responded to a tune pretty nicely. I remember I ran some super light pellets through her just to take a pic of the chrony registering over 1100 fps. Fun but she feels more stable with heavier ammo..

Yup, I had the QB36-2 and it is the same as TF-99. Very powerful, quite accurate, heavy. Polished the crown and fire-lapped and the accuracy improved. Mine was a .177 and it was a decent gun. I just didn't care for underlevers and it's one of the few I have ever sold.

I don't know anything about the 46 but if Mike says it's better, then it's just a function of price to decide between them.
