Those with the original AEA Challenger, especially the .357 version, know what a beast it is to cock with the bolt action. I had to make a leather cocking strap after a while since the tiny knob on the bolt would dig into my hand and one slip resulted in a double load of slugs.
Some people started selling custom knobs for the Challenger that extended the knob, but I went looking for something I could 3d print for free and this is what I ended up with
I started with this door handle bumper file I found

I increased the height in Cura to 50 mm, and increased the width to 23 mm. Possibly 23.5 mm can't quite remember, as I did a series of increases in width, printing about 10 minutes or so each time until I had a ring of plastic that would fit tightly on the AEA's knob. Did a full print, tapped it on with a rubber mallet, and it works flawlessly and allows the bolt to still fold down for shooting. Don't get the wrong idea: it is still a hard beast to cock, this just makes it a bit easier on your hand.
