Title: My new life
Post by: Sfttailrdr46 on February 17, 2024, 02:33:51 AM
Taking my D460 .177 out to the desert for a little plinking this Sunday maybe get lucky and score a jackrabbit or two. I figure at 19 ft lbs lots of power with a head shot

Sounds like fun Don,
Good to hear from you again.  I usually just hang out in the German gate, but you seem to have been on sabbatical for awhile?
Nothing like the skies always being sunny/blue in AZ ......... enjoy ;).

Hey buddy. Glad to see you still around. I've since gotten married and moved to AR. I hope you are doing well. Give me a call and let's catch up.

Yes it is Wednesday I am going out to Queen Valley for a little plinking and maybe a couple rabbits if I can get lucky. I'm probably going to take my D34 also

New life = recently retired? ???
FWIW-I tell people I am gainfully unemployed, not retired.  Very gainfully, I might add! ;)

Have you chronoed it recently since you moved to Mesa? Altitude affects the power of a Springer due to the desenty of the air being less the higher you go. It's just like a car engine that's not turboed.

I thought you were over 2000 feet. I don't think 1300 ft will be as noticable.

No, Fully Retired upon my arrival to Mesa AZ Dec 26, 2021. My Divorce was final Feb. 10 2022  ;D ;D ;D ;D
Hadn't thought about but even so should be good for rabbit at under 50 yards with a head shot
