So Daisy fooled me -- I did not know they had more than one type of "Match Grade" BBs available. I thought I was ordering the "Avanti" 1050 BBs that are ~0.175. Instead I got the red/yellow labeled ones, which say they are 0.1720 caliber. I did not know these existed.
Had I looked closer when purchasing, I would have seen the size listed -- but I thought a tub of 1050 BBs was only an Avanti thing, so I did not bother to look closer. So technically, my fault.
My Model 35 shoots everything almost equally bad, so no comment on yay or nay on these. I'll do a closer study of size, roundness, weight of these at some point.

Interesting, I didn't know they had these either.

I wonder if any Daisy factory employees lurk here...
Once upon a time Anthony, Henry CEO used to occasionally poke into rimfirecentral

Dang it!! I have the "red" ones also, now I am going to have to try the blue ones, I had no idea. My container of red ones say made in China. What does it say on the blue ones?
-
Both red/yellow and the blue say: Packaged in USA -- BBs made in China.
I did just spy that my red/yellow 0.1720 Cal BBs are model #990516(-212) Avantis should be model #990515.
Do not confuse "part#" and "model#" they don't match at all.
The Avanti BBs are sometimes referred to as "Daisy 515" but I see no mention of that model number on the blue tub. Oh wait, a sticker on the bottom does say "990515"
I just found an image of a tub of BBs with the red/yellow sticker with "#515" on it -- so label color alone doesn't tell which you have. Hopefully you can find the model#.

It looks like you'll want to pay attention whether or not it says " top of the line chromium steel "

Well, I got some of the Blue label says top of the line, red does not. Same part # as yours. My unscientific test (my Daisy 499) the blue takes longer for the bb to roll down the shot tube and connect with the magnet, and at least for me they are a bit more accurate.

Thanks a million, Bob! Your research will save me and many others a lot of frustration and headaches!
