Here is the whole target, which I believe qualifies for Sharpshooter in .177.

Congratulations that's great shooting, Rion! These .177s are really showing off their long range capabilities. I need to get back out there myself.

Thanks, Ed and Charlie!
Been working on this patiently for a while.
That target lives on the fridge like a good report card from childhood.

Rion,
I feel bad about this, but as I explained, I started a new project last week and have been super busy and have only been looking at GTA on my phone without a lot of time to look at pictures. Unfortunately I didn't notice that you had more than five holes in your target. And I have miscounted or had a bounce or a splatter back before even when I knew the rules. In any case I copied the appropriate rule below. Since I have only been the moderator for a couple of years, and all of your holes are within your group I will double check to make sure an exception has not been made to this rule since established.
"7. Only clean targets will be accepted, no additional holes, covered or not."

Do I follow if I say because I shot a 7 shot group instead of a 5 shot group, I do not qualify even though all 7 shots are within 2 inch CTC and the 4 MOA ring?
I shot the group in the spirit of achieving my NUAH goals and did not cheat. I suspect the spirit of the rule invoked is so folks cannot make a bad shot and then still qualify. All 7 of my shots are good. I believe this is consistent with the spirit and intention of the rule.

Rion,
I am going to approve your target as a sharpshooter. You did better than the minimum required. I do not believe your target was cheating nor within the intent of the rule to be excluded nor the interest of you or our group.
So my intention is to rewrite rule 7.

I agree with the decision, we are shooting for group size not score, if they were out of the required group size that would be different.

Thank you for your consideration, Kevin, and your input, James.
I am excited to finally be an NUAH member in .177!

good shooting!

Thanks, Liam!
