I went bb crazy a few weeks ago and finally got to shooting three of them today. First was a camo 840. Cleaned the barrel with alcohol. first five patches came out black? Was another five to be clean enough to shoot. 840 was used and might need some more attention.
840 started off a bit weak but after 5 or 6 shots seemed to perk up a little, seemed good for a single pump. So I dug out my Adult RR just to compare. After a few shots with the RR went back to the 840 and thought something was wrong. Oh yeah, pneumatic single pump, no recoil, was strange after shooting the RR. Then the Daisy 25. Sproing!!! Think the 25 might have a wee more poop than the RR. Chrony numbers soon. Adult RR and 25 were new guns.
Last, my brand new 35, also camo and new. Just shot it on two pumps to get the feel of it. Casual shooting today not for groups. It was fun. Off hand shooting from about 20 feet 75 year old eyes the 840 came out the most accurate, sure that may change when I bench shoot them all.
I can see why kids would forget the 840 is a single pump. I had to remind myself. was a fun day
