Momma just moved on, but the young one stuck around awhile...

And just like that, the shooting portal became a bear portal!

They never go back out the same way they come in! Fortunately, he's small enough he didn't tear the fence down as he climbed back over it to get out. He did run back and forth a couple times trying to figure out how to get back in the woods, but only after he destroyed the live trap I use to catch rats in the corner of the back yard! They are mischievious little guys at that age! I'm still amazed he was able to squeeze his fatt butt through the opening! I'm just glad Moma had already wandered off into the woods when he decided to go exploring our side of the fence, she'd have destroyed for sure! :o

I think he got separated from Momma after he left our backyard. He came back and decided he no longer wanted to be on camera!

I slammed the back screendoor a couple times and that scared him off before he completely destroyed it!
But, apparently the slamming screendoor wasn't enough, he came back once again!

This time a shot into the 4X4 the camera is mounted to sent him running before he rearranged another camera!

Man am I glad I don't have those around. The hogs, coons and fox are more than enough trouble for me.
-
The young teenagers are the worse, they get into everything. The mature ones pretty much keep to themselves and other than the occasional plowing through a fence, they are mostly non-destructive! Well, if you keep your trash cans locked up! ;D

We live in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and a Bear was raiding our garbage tote every week for two months. Ammonia on a shop rag helped some. But we have not been bothered for the last two months, so all is fine. I have beehives inside an electric fence and the bears have left that alone. Our mountain lioness has moved her den away, so the deer are back in numbers. Love living here; every day is a new day.

I'm not even sure what to say.... I'm just glad we don't have them here... or at least they don't visit.
