Title: Crosman Vigilante question
Post by: Oldgringo on December 02, 2023, 02:41:07 PM
My new Vigilante has stopped shooting BB's.  It still shoots the CPHP's ok but it doesn't want to expel the Daisy BB's.  You reckon the BB is too loose in the clip?

I had problems with the Crosman BB's doing that.
Many are under size!
Also the 6 shot BB magazine works way better then the 10 shot pellet magazine for BB's.

A couple of months ago I bought a three pack of Vigilante mags at Bass Pro.  I've only loaded them up a couple of times so they are still pretty fresh.  I got two out
and tried pushing CPHPs and Copperhead BBs through them.  Some of the cylinders are significantly tighter than the rest with both pellets and BBs.  BBs seemed to push through more easily than pellets in all the cylinders.  My C357 is not shootable right now because it needs a new seal.

Sorry I can't figure out what the heck your problem is.  :(

I, too, have that three pack of BB clips. I didn't have a problem with the gun's original BB clip. I wonder if these bargain clips might be the problem?  I did change from the Crosman Copperheads to the Daisy 2400 steel pellets. The first three shots did what they were supposed to but the next three stayed in the clip. Hmmm?

Oh well, both my .357 and the Vigilante shoot pellets better than I do and I can always shoot BB's in my Schoefield if I must shoot BB's.
