I imagine those split in the barrel so it would not really solve the issue of baffle clipping, your LDC internal would need to have a perforated tube running down its length, or guide rods as used the in Salvo-12 type:

Wasn't sure when they opened and seperated from the plastic. but yeah thats still a problem lol.

I have shot my Wing Shot at 3 yards to test spread to see if I was safe shooting over a crony, there was very little separation at that distance, and safe for crony work. 1" bore would be safe for .50 cal IMO, unless the muffler baffles and air paths change that.

If the shot is contained in the cup, then an air shotgun muffler is feasible.
This gent claims the plastic shotcups rupture before leaving the muzzle. I asked how he know that:
I would pass on the idea. I know my Wingshot crushes the plastic cases before the shot leaves the muzzle. Besides, wouldn’t it mess with the screw-in choke tubes pattern?
