Title: AXA lathe tool holders
Post by: WobblyHand on October 26, 2023, 08:58:10 PM
I did these a while back.  These slide onto 1.5x1.5 80/20 extrusions.  The 80/20 is mounted to the lathe backsplash.  I also printed a 5 or 10 degree wedge for the 80/20 to keep the tool holders at a slight angle.  I find these tool holders to be a real convenience.  I print them in PETG, with 20% infill in 0.3mm draft mode.  Have been using these for a year now and they have been holding up quite well.

Great idea, and seems like very functional prints!....

What I like about them is they slide along the 80/20 rail without too much effort, but they keep their place.  Made my lathe tooling a little more organized.  I just slid a new black one onto the rail from the left.  Also made up the dead center holder on the far right end - same idea, but with a little reinforcement under the holder "shelf".
