Any updates on the 3622 and 3677 pcps?
-
Maybe I should have posted this in the Crosman gate even though it's a pcp?
-
🤷🏼♂️……
-
Seriously, I get spread kind of thin sometimes and do not keep up with the latest. Is this a thing? A X362 or X367 PCP? A cute little compact PCP would be fun and I might be interested if it is all metal, made in the USA and makes at least 25 to 30 fpe and is at or under 6 pounds. Kind of like the UK made Urban. But I could get parts without begging the nice Gamo woman or ordering from the UK (and then charges for expensive stereo equipment in Germany show up on my cc the next day).

It's a new pcp that was listed in the 2024 Crosman catalog but it's been crickets since then. I'm a big fan of slim and lightweight myself.

The only catalog on the Crosman site is for 2023 and it does not show such a rifle?
-
I was mistaken, it is the 2023 catalog. It's also mentioned here. Unfortunately the pictures they used don't match the specifications they list.

And the Prospect:
PCP Powered Hunting Pellet Rifle
• Great gun to introduce shooters to PCP technology
• Regulated 3600psi reservoir
• Side lever action
• Ambidextrous, all-weather traditional stock
• Picatinny mounts
Model CPPR2S .22 900fps
Model CPPR7S .177 1000fps
-
The stock on the Prospect ruined it for me. If they will keep the same lines as the 362 stock on the new 3677/3622 pcp, I'm interested though.
-
The stock on the Prospect ruined it for me.
I get that.... The Prospect has other features though that I like.... I can deal with the stock later :)
-
I wish I had the capability to do that but I just don't have the set up to handle it. The 362 stock fits me well though.
-
I would be interested in a X362 as long as it was the same size and weight and basic looks as the 362. And some place to mount a scope. Single shot is fine.

I'm with you on all points. There was a time I thought everything had to have a magazine. I find myself using the single shot tray in most of my guns now.
-
Right there with you on that Eddie. The mags are convenient for walk a bout field duty nut the single shot tray slows the pace of bench shooting to a more relaxed and enjoyable rate. Other wise I would be spending more time filling the gun and mags than shooting.

I'm seeing better accuracy with the single shot trays too.

Yes, the mags add more opportunity for potential issues such as misfeeds due to alignment. We also have more pellet size options. Plus, many mags don't function well with pointed pellets if those are your flavor of choice.

The 362 does not have a shroud or a moderator either and that also is okay with me. I think of the 362 as a hunting rifle, not a bench rifle. When a shroud goes on and a moderator and a magazine, well, you get a Marauder and they already make those.
Just to say, the Gamo Urban makes 24 to 30 fpe, is accurate, lightweight, superb balance and has no stupid shroud. And pickle removal turns out to be easy now that I know how to do it and then just slip on an adapter. And the Urban has a nice shot count also.
(How to remove the Urban pickle you ask ;). Remove the barrel from the rifle and put it in a wood face vice. Get your hack saw and cut the pickle off proud of the barrel. Then get your propane torch and, yeah, burn it off.)
Crosman needs to make this rifle, if they do, quick and short and lightweight. Something under five pounds would be nice. Minus all of the pumping mechanism it should be possible. Otherwise I have two Urbans and will pass.

I do think they have an opportunity to make a slim, lightweight pcp that will have a place in a crowded market. I just hope they put a metal breech on it from the start.
If it never happens, I'll probably buy another Stormrider in .22 to compliment my .177 and .25.
-
I am also thinking vaporware or mistaken listing in the catalog. The spec says the rifle will have an integral sound suppression. The picture shows no such thing and nor does the 362 have an integral sound suppression.
-
It does seem like a premature announcement. I was hoping someone from Crosman would chime in here and clear up some of these questions.
-
If anything like the 362 it will be here right on Christmas ;)
-
had emailed Crosman CS about another issue, did ask about the Prospect....
was told December.... so yea likley Christmas time
-
It's well into the Christmas season and still no sign of them. Oh well, my airgun budget is blown for this year anyway.
-
I hope they opt for longer LOP….as much as I like my 362/367…lop is lacking……doubt I will purchase anywho……good luck
-
Been watching for had $ stashed for it... BB's blog in Nov said something about $139...
but the Icon deal happened.. ;)
so, it will have to be on the credit card if it comes out with the next few months... getting a touch low on cash due to Christmas... would get it tho... have a 19".25 barrel just waiting to do duty on it... hope to tune for a short string 36 fpe tune...see how it does with the NOE 34g meplat mags down around 675 fps.. ;)
would enjoy it as is for a while first...in honor of it's budget theme would give it a screw eye front peep... works well with the rear tombstone peep out to 30+ yards... https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=57335.msg548071#msg548071
Style wise do like the 362 syn stock much better than many others... like that it has the rear barrel band... the tiny breech screw can use the support.
a lightweight upgradeable inexpensive bare bones Lego doorway into pcps... what's not to like about it..? 2000 psi fill easy on the pump and pumper...
am guessing will have a maximus euro like tune (makes the most sense to me) with the 13xx/2240 plastic breech... backyard friendly decently quiet... decent shot string...
shot strings shown 12 min in... https://www.bing.com/videos/riverview/relatedvideo?&q=maximus+euro+.177&&mid=41943F06B94EC03D24C741943F06B94EC03D24C7&&FORM=VRDGAR
I guess you can tell I am hoping they can pull it off.. ;)
https://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2023/11/weve-done-it-again/
-
I want one. And will buy one. But right now I will settle for Crosman to supply me a .25 caliber Marauder barrel please!
-
I'm hoping they pull it off too, Kirby. I like the 362 stock as well, and I do hope they keep the design.
I don't need another pcp and I've got my Stormrider tuned down to Euro Maximus power levels, but I love slim and lightweight guns.
-
I just got this response from a Crosman engineer named John when I asked for an updated picture on another forum. Looks like we could see them before too long.
I am off till next week or I would get you one. Really it looks just like the 362 with a fill nipple at the end.I have been enjoying testing it. I am a scope guy and shooting with the open sights has been fun. With how it handles it is going to be a great field rifle.
-
So your saying there is another PCP air rifle in my future ???
-
So your saying there is another PCP air rifle in my future ???
LOL James.. I predict that there are many more PCP air rifles in your future.
-
Wow! I just heard of this. I may put a halt to my 2260pcp mods to save the money. I'm also hoping it comes out soon. Light carbines are the best in my opinion. Had a discovery once and loved it, simple, easy to carry and had all the accuracy I needed. I regret selling it and if/when this comes out and i get it, I don't plan on letting it go. Would be a good middle gun between my 2260pcp and maximus.
Will this thing be regulated?

The description in the crosman catalog mentions a 3600 psi fill, but nothing about a regulator. Hopefully we'll know more in a week or two.
-
I saw a different thread and it read internal regulated and shrouded barrel. But also said side owner multishot so I think it was mixed information especially with the under $150 price tag
-
Well, nothing on the crosman website yet but I found this.
https://www.shootingwire.com/releases/c0e94f40-12f6-45eb-9248-5d187dc98534
Not to far from me, I think I want to make plans to go. I've always wanted to go to shot show
-
Never mind, just saw what it takes to get into shot show.
-
Here's a picture of the one Crosman/Benjamin engineer John is testing. He said we could possibly see them by the end of this month.
-
based on the fact that the plastic breech is 3.5" long... it looks like the barrel is the same 22" as the 362... looks like the barrel bands could be upgradable to the disco/max/2240 barrel band... also hope the foster nipple cover is upgradeable...
I hope the front sight will be like his and comes with part 99-65 like the old 760's... but given this is going to be The budget pcp I doubt it will.. but a front sight hood is not hard to make...
can you see it with a Baker .5" breech and .5" LW barrel... or maybe just a Crosman .4375" barrel sleeved with aluminum or brass...or maybe an alliance Brass breech and a brass trigger and barrel bands...
I like the idea behind it a budget 2000 psi path into pcps...Shoot as is or Lego the heck out of it.. ;)

Thanks for sharing John and Ed.. ;D

The catalog said it would be shrouded. I'm not sure if that's a shroud or a full length barrel. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one and tricking it out a little.
-
Te catalog had everything wrong... that is a Crosman 7/16(.4375 barrel).. ;)
-

Mine won't have the same barrel on it when I'm done with it. 😉
-
I am guessing you are thinking of a .25 conversion like I am.. ;)
-
Glad they're making this. Hopefully they'll bring out a .25 barrel for it. I've got a spare MAP valve and Don C .250 valve Id put in it. Looks shorter then a Disco tube which is nice.
-
well honestly I do not see them doing that...but we can... I am just glad the lego platform survives....
-
Nice to see a real picture of it. I have all the parts ready for an upgrade if I choose to go that rout. I would be tempted to go 24" .22 or slap the. 25 top end from my 1425 build.
With all that being said part off me wants to keep it stock other than a steel breech and fiber optic sights.
Keeping a compact build sounds good.
WAY too many options for these Lego builds.
Is that a 7/8 tube?
-
So,
No gage on the tank...
900 fps .177 / 700 fps .22 hope it is with 7.9g and 14.3g pellets..?
a power adjuster.. ;)
a long wait.. :( "Availability is scheduled for later in 2024. Possibly in the Fall."
https://hardairmagazine.com/news/crosman-and-benjamin-at-the-2024-shot-show/
no mention of a 367 to go with the 362 so guess will still have to make one if you want one.. ;)
-
I will be purchasing one for sure. Now that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel on Marauder number 4, my last thank goodness ::), I need to start learning about how to mod out these new mini Crosmans. Looks stunningly perfect to mod out into an amazing little rifle.
-
I guess they ran into some issues. The Crosman engineer I talked to said they should be available by the end of this month.
-
I got an update from John. The 3622 should be available in February.
-
Sorry, I decided to pull that link. The 3622 looks to have additional bands on the barrel and I like it. The open sights are nice to have for a change even if I cannot see them. I WANT ONE ASAP.
-
Ok, so the 2024 Catalog is now at Crosman.com...
700 and 900 fps it says...
Hooded front sight...
2000 psi gauge.. ;)
Hmmm..?

Lots of confusion surrounding them for sure. I told myself I was done after they came out, but I'm seeing some interesting low to mid range models from several manufacturers at shot show this year.
-
Nice to see a hooded front sight. I like the looks of the 3677. Likely a light weight, off hand, open sights shooter with no mag.

yep lasts year catalog... not awe nspiring that the sales Dept did not know the product well enough to get it right...
hope things are more integrated now cause I would like it if the catalog is right about it having a gauge... and the other source is right about a PA.. ;)
Hammer spring djuster and manometer, sure not actually necessary...but I do really like the tune-abilty they provide...
So what ya eyeing.. ;) the JTS underlever..?
-
The 3677/22 is the pcp entry into lego gun madness of the crosman gun. An affordable entry into insane customization amd aftermarket stuff. Very exciting.
[chuckling] yeah, the JTS spring guns for $150 are on my mind.

The Barra 250z is the one that caught my eye.

I doubt the rifle has a pressure gauge because the one shown at Shot Show did not. So, that will probably somebodies first mod, take some aluminum stock, turn it to diameter, groove for O-rings on either end, drill it out and then put a gauge port in the reservoir tube to accommodate a button gauge.
I can see why Crosman would eliminate a gauge for this rifle and intended market. Pump it up using the HP bicycle pumps which do have a gauge and then shoot it down until it stops shooting good and go back to pumping.
-
I'm already thinking about making another low power .25 out of one. I'm a sick puppy.

Hmm that looks pretty similar to the JTS Stealth Hawk.. ;) Can not remember the rifle but a member here had a barrel in air tube configured rifle and I seem to remember it doing pretty well with cast BBT 30g .22... will look around and see if it can jog my memory a bit and find it...
Have the 19" Trail XL725 barrel turned down to 7/16 on the breech end to make a 3625 with... was very accurate with H&N FTT 20g on my 1325xlt pumper at 650 fps... did well with all the .25 pellets I had at the time... will need to shim (.062"+) under the Breech so the 9/16 barrel clears the air tube...May go taller so can run a shroud...

if it is based on a Maximus/Disco tube... then should be able to use a Maximus gauge block...

80-85cc air tank...
3622 starts ~ 7:15 in....

Small reservoir, low 2000 psi pressure makes it hand pump friendly. He claims 700 fps for just under 16 fpe and 25 shots. I am sure I can increase the energy by 50% and half the shot count ::). And what did he say, 4ish pounds?
I picked up two 2.5X Osprey scopes for so cheap they were nearly free at a Gun Show, had no boxes. I bought one for a CVA .44 magnum single shot backyard deer rifle. The other has been looking for a home. This will be the perfect corner of the kitchen HOSP eliminator, standing at ready to quickly eliminate the aerial vermin. Open sights and bifocals just do not work for me.

just as an aside for info... They are not Showing a 3677 yet... nor a 367...
but the 2260 is in stock.. ;)

What do you make of the fill port?
-
well to me it would make the most sense to use the maximus fill port and control cost by just using the rubber cap... that would also let them sell a Maximus/Fortitude/Disco cap later... and it looks like it would fit...but only one way to know for sure...
-
was checking today and price is up from 139$ to 149$...
-
An other great step forward by Crosman,...they rock !! LOL
