I bought it as a partner to my R7 .177.
im shooting it in evenings at the 50' gallery league club and finding with RWS Hobby pellets its quite accurate. Its not FWB 300 accurate but off the rest pellets cluster into a satisfying cluster all touching.I'd expected the low power. 22 to not be as accurate.im finding I shoot it very well offhand though it's quite light compared to my 12# Schuetzen.

Interesting, have tried any other pellets?
-
The accuracy should improve a lot as the barrel seasons with use. And your accuracy range will stretch out with similar accuracy. Slower velocity gun do not necessarily mean they are less accurate, but quite to opposite at suitable ranges. Hope to hear more updates as your gun breaks in. Great little rifles!!!

Most 10 M target rifle shoot in the 500fps range. They are the MOST accurate rifles of all... ;)

I really love my HW 30s in .22. Plenty accurate for the under 20 yards maximum distance I can shoot. Compared to it's .177 caliber sibling makes little knockdowns go WHACK!
I would get one in .20 cal. but already have an R1, R10 and HW50s in .20.

I have the HW30 in .20 and it is awesome!!!!

Sounds like both of you are shooting well. Offhand with a basic rifle all shots touching at 50' is awfully impressive. I might be able to do that benched. NEVER offhand.
-
tjk, I think anything in .20 is awesome!
I will probably get a HW30s in .20 just to have one!
-
I have the 30 .22 as well. And really like it. Especially at nite under lights. You can easily watch the flight and arc. It is accurate as well. I not long ago got the 30 in .20 cal. and blown by the performance. IMO it doesn’t matter which 30 you buy, they’re all awesome. Crow

I also took out one of my HW30S in .22 caliber today and made small targets swing at 21 yards. Hard hitting fine little rifle. Charles

Steve. Get one. I promise you will love the extra range of the .20 I thought about the .22, but I have plenty of .22 springers and opted to place a pre order for a .177 model. I wish the 35 was offered in .20. My 5mm HW30 is very satisfying to shoot and most often a miss is my fault and not the gun. I have misfired the 30 more times than I can count and still hit the target. The fwb Sporter is the only other gun I have experienced this with.

Ronnie, 99% of the time I shoot open sights from my ~30 meter range for plinking. I hardly ever really shoot for groups. I keep things simple. If I can hit a shot shell at that range with any of my guns,…then that’s good enough for me.

I'm sorry i blurred your post in my head. I read it again and still very impressive for rested shooting. Try the rws Hobbies if you can find them. They did well in my hw50. FTTs always did best for me in for any 22 Weihrauch.
-
Guys I forgot to mention that all my rifles have peeps but one, the R1. At my close range that works for me.
I WILL soon justify getting another HW30...in .20!!!
-
There’s a HW30 .20 cal. available a AOA now. Excellent service. No waiting. Crow
-
Just checked. Go with the deluxe model!!!

I heartily agree with the above HW30S comments. I have three of 'em, all in .177 caliber. One has a Williams peep sight, one has a Hawke 2-7x32 scope and the other has a Bushnell TSR-25 red dot sight.
