I am on my 3rd one.
The first two were ok and I played with them a lot.
BStaley, TP, spring, HT, HS.
Not this one.
It be fine, like it is.
I only have three .22 pellets.
I gave my Predators away.😠
But I shot then three of them today at 22 yards off of the bench.
A= 14.5 Ultra Magnum
B= 14.3 JSB Exact
C/D= 18.13 JSB Exacts

Looks like a keeper !

Good looking groups. I haven't shot groups in awhile with my Prod but I did try it on the 30 yard challenge recently and shot a 193 (out of 200). It likes H&N copper plated FTTs the best of any pellets I've tried. Here is a picture of that target and the gun that shot it.
-
I could have done better with a bigger scope.
This one is just 10X.
I don’t want to buy anymore..
-
Mine loves just about everything I've fed it including my 20 grain cast hunters. No way I'm letting this one go.
-
Good to know they are still accurate, Mine only cost 1/2 of what an FX cost ;)

I used a Vector Sentinel 8-32 set at 32X when I shot some 30 yard challenge targets with my Prod. I can't see the targets with the Hawke Vantage 2-7 it normally wears. I wouldn't want to carry the Prod around with the Sentinel on it. The scope weighs nearly as much as the gun! But for targets it definitely works better. I like the Sentinel fine but I think my Athlon Talos 6-24 is a better choice for about the same money. The glass is enough better I can see the targets as well with the Athlon and I prefer 6x for pesting/hunting.

So, I found some short Predators to compare with the 14.3 Crosman Ultra Magnum Domes.
This Bad Boy seems to like the 14.3 at 625fps.
Maybe the Predators want a faster speed🤔
-
My experience is the Poly-Mag shorts are not as accurate as the standards.
-
Thanks Jame.
I just ordered some regular Predators.

Thanks Jame.
I just ordered some regular Predators.
Not sure if they fit the Prod mag with out clipping the tips ???
-
I have two single shot tray, just in case..

The standard poly mags will fit in the Prod magazine no problem.

I received the standard length Predators today
I think they might need a bit more speed than what I am providing.
A few of the skirts of the eight pellets I shot next to the Crosman 14.3 Domes were a bit disheveled and I will fix that the next time I shoot, but compared to the Crosman group, the Predator pattern was not good.
Not good at all.

I had some short poly mags to try in the prod just never did. I still have yet to open them and try them in anything. Glad you tried them. I’ve never had luck with Polys

Recently picked up a PROD. Everytning is still stock except the Buckrail stock. If it'll shoot ANY pellet better than the new JTS pellets it will be mind boggling.
Yesterday morning was near perfect with next no breeze. While I had targets set up at 50 yards, Figured I'd try off the bench. Wow! A substantial drop that far out
but the couple groups I shot not quite as good but rivaled what I was shooting with the Origin and Daystate.
Got the Donny adapter to put LDC on it but I'm scared to change anything on it... may open groups up.

Has the PRod gotten better with age?
I thought it never lived up to expectations of the owners.
It was one that I considered when looking at a Notos.

I would say they are probably the same as they have ever been. The problem is a lot people thought they should come from the factory shooting in the 900fps range or more and cost less.
The prod is excellent: super accurate, great trigger, reversible bolt handle and a ton of aftermarket parts to turn it into anything you want it to be.

This is my 3rd.
It is the best.
The first two were highly adjusted.
The first had a larger TP, spring, bStaley, etc.
It was fun.
The 2nd one i tried the regulator routine.
Not much you can do with 65cc of air with all of the goodies in #1.
This one was completely stock internally.
Yesterday I checked the factory specs:
HT 1.5CW
HS 2.5CW
Those numbers has my PRod shooting at 12.4fpe with 14.3 Crosman Ultra Mag Domes and 25psi per shot.
So, I know what the pistol wants so I changed the HT/HS settings.
HT = 1.0CW
HS = 6.0CW
PSI per shot has doubled to 54psi.
I just shot the 14.3 Crosman and the accuracy is still magnificent.
I will chronograph the settings today and then shoot the predators again.
I was only shooting at 22 yards in my yard but time of flight was significantly shooter than with the factory settings and impact on the duct seal was a bit more significant.
I shot from 2800-1500psi…24 shots.

OK
I made the adjustments as indicated above.
Just about advertised power now for two mags and 16 shots.
Good enough for its intended purpose..

Akin to buying a Chevette and expecting performance like a Corvette? ::) ;D

I have, and have never had, any expectations about air pistols or rifles.
They are what they are.
