Title: Piledriver question.
Post by: ray1377 on July 17, 2023, 10:42:59 PM
Can someone who owns a Hatsan Piledriver tell me if the barrel band / bottle clamp and scope picatinny parts are aluminum or plastic?
Trying to narrow down a new big bore for this coming deer season. From pictures I can't tell what those parts are made of.
If they "are" made from plastic, how are they holding up on your particular rifle?

Thanks
Ray

I feel like I am the only Piledriver owner on the forum  ??? The Optics rail is aluminum, and the bottle clamp accessory rails are of high quality polymer. I have had no accuracy or other issues with the gun.

Thanks James.
I thought it looked like plastic / nylon. Was curious if it was giving anyone any issues.

So, do you fellows want to reveal some bullet suggestions maybe?
That sure would be helpful.

Thx

i have no problem with that. unlike many here, i'm a hunter and dont shoot paper.

my piledriver really likes my lyman 405gr rnfp that i cast for 720fpe very accurately.
but if your buying slugs, NSA 350gr BTHP are next inline that i prefer.

Wow wee, 405 grain. Now that's a chunk of lead.

I went with MR Hollowpoint's 345 gr. .510 slugs for their best overall performance, also picked up a NOE mold but have not cast or tested anything home cast yet.
