Title: 760 V.1 Piston Cup Replacenemt
Post by: Ronno6 on July 02, 2023, 01:24:57 PM
I need to replace the pump cup in a version 1  760.
Is it just a matter of pressing off/on the brass retaining washer at the end of the piston?

Your lucky day, I have one apart on the bench, for years LOL, yes one needs to slip off that brass ring, Heat can help expand it. Also allows access to replace felt oil wiper. The first one I rebuilt had a flat top piston, way easier to fix :)

I was able to get behind the bushing using a bearing separator after cutting away the cup..
Then a simple arbor pressing.
Thanks, Mike Baker...
