So I inherited three springers from my dad's collection. One Marksman MOD 70 , MOD 56 and a R10. I would love to have manufacturing dates and manuals (if that's even possible). Back history: My dad always bought high-quality German air rifles; once, when I was about 16, he gave me an FWB124 which, like an idiot, sold soon after. I still regret that decision to this day. Marksman MOD 70: "looks" completely stock with open sites, Beeman SS2L Blue Ribbon scope, and what looks like a stamped metal trigger and guard, and the 56 has a muzzle brake, stippled checkered stock, aluminum trigger, cast trigger guard, adjustable cheek weld and adjustable butt. The R10 is in the original Beeman shipping box with a little Beeman white options label and it looks completely stock. All three guns are a work of art in my eyes and I would just love any manufacture documentation for my records.

On the R10 there should be a Beeman address, it changed over the years and can give you a clue if you have an early rifle? Post that address and the serial number and someone here should help you.

R10 has San Rafael California 94903

R10 has San Rafael California 94903
Moved to that store some time in 1974, and they remained there until about 1987. Collectors like that address given it was early.

Thank you!

I just pulled out my Beeman Precision Airgun Guide Edition 22 (the only one I have), and the R10 isn't even listed.

94903 is not the serial number, it's the zip code for San Rafael. It will have a 6 or 7-digit serial, probably on the underside of the barrel. We can date it pretty close with the that. FWIW, here is a shorter version of the HW serial database (but scroll down a bit):
https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/americanvintageairguns/serial-numbers-walther-weihrauch-and-feinwerkbau-t7279.html (https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/americanvintageairguns/serial-numbers-walther-weihrauch-and-feinwerkbau-t7279.html)
I would be interested to know the serials on the Marksman guns, which were made by Weihrauch, but with some BSF parts. Those were made in the late 80's / early 90's. I would assume they have HW serials but don't know for sure.
This is pure speculation on my part, but Beeman may have dropped the R10 since it is so similar in size and power to the R9. Both guns are still made in Europe though: R10 = HW 85, R9 = HW 95.

The current HW85 is not the same as the previous R10/HW85.
tag1000, why don't you just look up your serial #'s in the Weihrauch data base that I showed you? ??
-
I think they dropped the R10 because the receiver was too thin and the screw on monkey metal base was a bad idea.

DB didn't provide any info
Marksman MOD 56: 1177060
Marksman MOD 70: 1133365
R10: 1096273

LOL...no doubt absolutely true.
As you point out, the HW 85 and 95 have evolved since those days. It's kind of a mystery to me why they still exist as separate models...not sure what the diff really is, especially at "legal" German power levels.

Thanks for the Marksman serials! This seems to confirm they did indeed get Weihrauch serials.
To be clear, the database is not detailed individual histories of what is now well over two million Weihrauch springer air rifles. It's just a list of known guns, to help you extrapolate manufacturing dates. Your three are all about the same age:
M56 no. 1177060 = 1988 or '89
M70 no. 1133365 = 1988
R10 no. 1096273 = 1987 or '88
Note that all HW rifle models appear to fit into a single sequence of serials - i.e., each model does NOT have its own sequence. (To put it another way, consecutive serials might well be different types of guns.)
