So I finally got around to buying an FX radar chronograph, and wanted to test it out on my 1322, mods are as follows
14" mac-1 barrel with all preps and TKO
Mac-1 delrin transfer port
Mac-1 extended probe
Magnum Air adjustable cup seal/valve
Solid roll pin
.038 hammer spring with adjuster (for the rare over pump situations, and to make for a light trigger at 4-6 pumps)
Fluted hammer
That's it for power mods.
Pellet used AA 15.89 diabolo:
6 pumps - 422 = 6.3 fpe
8 pumps - 489 = 8.4 fpe
10 pump - 535 = 10.1 fpe
12 pumps - 575 = 11.7 fpe
15 pumps - 625 = 13.8 fpe
I was going to push it up to 18, 21 and finally 25 pumps but did not see the point at this time ;)
Very pleased by these figures and wanted to share.

That's pretty good FPS/FPE. The best Ive gotten out of a 2289 (no mods) 6pumps 425-5.73 8pumps 475-7.16 10pumps 502-8.0 12pumps 525-8.73.

Thanks, that was just to see what she could do, for the pistols I do like speed over slower heavy pellets, so I have settled on the jsb rs 13.43 @ 7 pumps for 7.5 fpe @ 502 fps average. Should be good out to 15 yards, 20 max for chippers and yard vermin (my current comfortable iron sight range for .75-1" kill zones).
Guess it's nice to know a 15.89 @ 20+ pumps with the hammer spring tension up should drop a trash panda or groundhog with a brain shot from the correct angle and 15 yard max.

There's hope for my project 1322 FTP getting to 10fpe...hmmm
Thanks for sharing

I believe there is hope indeed. I'm just happy that I'm basically getting 1 fpe per pump up to 12ish. That's cool with me, I have a HW44 if I need 18 fpe in a pistol. But there is just something nice about the multipump guns.

I also use the jsb rs 13.43. When I go to the range I usually will shot at 15yds and pump 4 times or the 25yds and pump 6 times of course I'm hitting paper.

I gotcha man, I was trying to find a balance between noise/trajectory/and backyard safe energy for both target fun and light duty pest control. I dislike chipmunks trying to get into the house and shed and vehicles, so moving target practice it is, lol.
The stock numbers on your 2289 were not too shabby at all, especially for punching paper. Is your setup still a carbine or have you gone pistol style setup?

I leave it as a carbine and have a 3-12x40 Bugbuster scope on it. The sweet spot is 25 yards but I have played around at 50 yards but that takes the full 10 pumps so I mostly use it at the 25 yard spot at the range and keep it within 1.5" group sometimes 1" if its not too windy and the coffee has worn off.

Today just wanted to see what the gun would do full out. 22 pumps with retained air shooting .22 polymags got to 694 fps! I'll never go that high again, but nice to see it lays it down. Totally enough for the wayward raccoon. 8) if I went heavier hammer spring I bet 715 fps is doable at 22 pump with polymags. . .

I am also hopeful for a 15 pump hunter 4-6pump paper AG. 694fps from a pumper...smokin!
If my Boss TP and holy grail screw ever get here I can reassemble and chrono. Good thing I have three projects now...lol
-
Lol, I have 2 more to assemble myself, but I'm just so into this one right now they may become fall projects!

On my 2289g I have seen 605fps w/ 14.3gr pellet @ 18-20 pumps (can't recall). That was right under 12FPE which was impressive. However, I decided that the 2289g (especially with a silencer) is too long to be a bugout gun. I am now more focused on what I can get our of 1377 and 1322 with stock barrel length.

Interesting. I have a 1322 with 14.6" Crosman barrel, Magnum Air pump cup piston and valve, stock hammer spring, brass hammer spring guide. fluted hammer, slightly opened up transfer port bushing. .158" (I think) getting an average of 595 fps with 14.3 Crosman domed pellets for about 11.25 fpe at 15 pumps. Wondering if I need a stiffer spring or a larger transfer port to get a little higher numbers. I don't know what the Mac delrin TP or tko is.
-
So the barrel has been prepped by Mac-1, but I can't recommend him currently as I'm still waiting for a mark 1 LD pistol from him for 4 months. Basically you can enlarge the barrel air transfer port, use ice maker tubing for a transfer port between the valve exhaust and barrel, and a heavier hammer spring will help dump more air. If you don't enhance the flow path from the valve all the way down the barrel the extra hammer spring tension probably won't do much.
All that to say once I found this guns limit I have not pumped it past 12 anyway. Too much abuse, I have more powerful air pistols if I desire more fpe.
Good luck tinkering if that is where you go with your 1322

I just got 579fps/10.64fpe on a stock 10.1" barrel at 15 pumps...posting in pump up the jam thread with chrono

What pellet?
I think I saw well over 500 w/ my stock 1322 and 14.3gr pellet with a few over pumps...can't recall but it was no more than 15. BUT definitely wasn't 579fps...maybe 530 or so.
