Idly thinking about these three rifles and the tradeoffs inherent in their designs and performance, with a nod to value thrown in. It occurs to me that they have a loose rock/paper/scissors relationship -
95 beats the 124 to me, on the strength of its Rekord trigger.
124 beats the 34 on the strength of its distinctive accuracy.
34 beats the 95 on the strength of its lighter weight and value.
Assume all 3 are 177's....
Really, this is a bit semantic. They are all fine choices, and "which trumps what" is more perspective based than anything.
I don't think the 34, especially the T06 version, gets quite enough respect when compared to the other two rifles. Possibly because it's a "value priced" product.
But it's accuracy and performance is close to the others, for less money, and that can really matter.
I will say that I have a beautifully tuned 124, an early R9 that sure seems tuned, and a stock T05 34.
Of the three, I'd take the R9 by a hair over the 124 (and with regrets!), but if I were buying just one rifle on a budget, it would probably be a clean, used 34 (T01 or T06).
Does anyone see it differently? Or feel that a different set of three rifles makes a better comparison?

Yeah, get an HW 50 and be done! 8) :D ;)

I pretty much agree with your assessment Brian. The Diana 34 was one of those “must have air rifles” to a lot of collectors. Seems the line has dropped off some in everything but price for the newer EMS versions. I’m still amazed that Diana dropped the standard model 34. To me that was their ‘bread and butter’ base product. Of all the Diana’s I’ve owned and shot, my ‘07 T-05 model 34 remains my all time favorite Diana air rifle. After years of shooting and properly adjusted, the T-05 trigger is just as good as my FWB Sporter rifles. Personally, I feel the T-05 get an undeserved bad rap. I recently purchased a 95, and while it is a fine quality air rifle, it “ain’t all that and an a bag of chips” either. Of the three rifles you mentioned, I think the 124/7 balance the best when shouldering. The 34 is a tad barrel heavy, but with a scope, that helps it a bit. I wish the 95’s still came with the classic Goudy’ish stocks instead of the newer versions. Yogi mentioned the 50 so I will probably get horse laughed at this, but aside from the HW30, the HW 57 (.22) is about the best balanced mid powered Weihrauch rifle I own. Shoulders great, ample power and superb accuracy for the price point (like the 50) yet another example of a quality springer that gets a bad rap.

All three are great rifles. If I had to just have one it would probably be the R9. The R9 appears to be less hold sensitive than my fwb 124. My diana 38 shoots and points well. Hard choice

I agree the 34 is a bit of a barrel-heavy pole, but still an utterly usable and dependable workhorse.
The 95 has excellent looks, balance and trigger, but for me, was a letdown in every other way.
Pretty much everything I've read on the 124 points to the pointability and excellent offhand balance of the design. I've never handled a FWB, but would definitely grab one if it came close to my hideout. On paper the 124/127 seems like a great gun for me.

I AGREE WITH OP ... 95 124 34 generally
Tho said a properly tuned & adjusted the 124 will be the more accurate. ( What a barrel )

Well maybe the atmosphere is different in the south pacific . I have an Hw 95 and an HW 77. And a Diana 34 Nice but a bit disappointing. Not quite disappointing on accuracy but on Utilatarian usefulness my Webley Tomahawk (English made( is better on all counts . However my shooting in our village is all offhand and usually at a good range for a springer. My umarex Octane Elite comes out tops and my BSA Spitfire is close second that one is set up for night shooting.
The webley I bought second hand a long time ago and is a really good rifle , but 177 the other two are 22 . Considering prices here I would have to say that I would not consider buying any top end gun because the Chinese Umarex just does the job better . Paper punching on a range is good fun but the real test is in the field
Ps my friend down the road has shot three possums and we are going out tonight if she is allowed out to play.

Off hand shooting is completely different. A lot of the guys are strictly Bench Botts.

No experience with a 34 or 95, in fact have never seen either. My first airgun other than a Daisy BB gun back in the 50's was a FWB 124, bought new in 1975, still have it. Very easy to cock, it was the magnum airgun in it's day, the only downside is that the trigger is not the best. but it is still extremely accurate. I had mine a couple of years before discovering Beeman and all his accessories, at which point I got a receiver sight and accuracy jumped up a bit, then a couple of years later one of his blue ribbon scopes that stayed on about 35 years when I went back to the receiver sight, and a better Anschutz globe front sight. It just handles and to me seems to point better with iron sights. It definetly is not a bench gun, but a handy sporter for the field. I prefer mine for offhand shooting. The only guns that handle similarly are my HW 57's and the 35e.

I've owned a couple of vintage FWB 124s, a model 36 RWS and three different Beeman R9 (HW95) rifles. I still own the Beemans, but the others are long gone. I guess I'd vote for the HW95.

Indian pistachio or mango.
Wow, it's so rich and creamy. After some XX hot Biryani with yogurt
Wouldn't be without a .177 HW95 or a 124. Both are great

As much as I like my 124, the trigger, rear sight and saftey are way ahead of it. The trigger is so much better, the safety is machined steel and resettable and the factory rear sight is the best factory sight I have seen on any air rifle, save some diopter sights on dedicated target rifles
