Title: JTS Aircuda Max ?
Post by: buddyb on March 30, 2023, 01:39:47 AM
What is the difference between the .22 and .25 aircuda max besides pellets? Are the valves, transfer port etc different size? I'd like to shoot 25.4 gr .22 pellets at around 860 fps currently they shoot 100 fps slower. I've increased the reg to 2200 and the hammer spring all the way in. If I increase the reg pressure passed this I start losing power. I don't want to void the warranty either so I'm at a conundrum. I also don't want to move up to a .25 caliber either.

I have a standard in 25. From what I have read the internals are pretty much the same with the exception of one being regulated the other is not. If I turn my hammer spring in 5 turns the gun will not fire. I have it set at 2 1/4 turns.

Travis may step in and answer this but for the .22, it looks like you are tapped out for speed. It's listed for 900fps max, I'm sure that is with 10gr pellets.

Travis said that is about as good as it gets without a longer barrel.
