Post by: Nvreloader on March 12, 2023, 05:38:54 PM
Anyone using these WC pellets in their DF II rifle?
What's the results you've had?
Good or Bad.

Tia,
Don

I would not mess with the WC get this instead, easier to cast and more accurate for other uses also.

for the ranges one would use this yes, and they extend the down range energy, keep the slugs at or below .215, as these are known to have tighter bores.

Thanks.... not that it relate to me anyways... mine is a .177 and I don't have any .177 slugs. Most likely wouldn't have a use for them. I was just curious because I thought slugs were only useful in a non choked barrel and I had not heard the the MK2 barrel was such.

Thanks Guys
I haven't seen any comments of the bore spec's yet.
James, I have that mold, haven't tried it out yet.

Bill
I always get a chuckle, seeing that Boss photo, that's kind'a like rubbing salt in the wound,
you miss a shot and Boss walks up with a can of pellets in her mouth,
and you stating, "Here try these"..............LOL   8)

Thanks Don... yeah, she's a real character. Some of the things she does, Betty Lou and I just look at each other and shake our heads.

It doesn't seem like any of the SPA barrels are choked.

I just realized that every one of my SPA guns are .177. I think I have 5 or 6 of them. I sold the Mrodair Varmint some time back... that was the only .22 I had. IIRC

If you want to play with slugs, the 10.03 JSB's were super accurate even at 850 FPS when shooting at 20 yards.

The majority of my SPA guns are C02 other 2 are the MK2 and the PP800. None of which push quite that fast.
