Long story short, Ive got a scope that when mounted, is just >< that much too high for the cheek piece in its top position
Adding a bit of foam to the cheekpiece helps, but its still too low
Can I just add one more drill hole at the top of the factory adjustment holes?
TIA

Elongate the slots in your existing riser?
Shorter scope rings?
Just thinking out loud (so to speak)

Sweet!
those areent something Id order, but it does give me an idea to fabricate a riser from Kydex. Think I may have some around....
Thanx for the inspiration!

> no elongate the slot the "posts" and locking screws run in

> not possible. My sentry has dove tails, necessitating dovetail-to-weaver adapters. But the real issue is this scope has a built in base, no rings. The base has the windage/elevation adjustments on it, and they work backwards from "normal" adjustments. The scope is detailed in a blog post https://www.ctcustomairguns.com/hectors-airgun-blog/nur-fur-jager-only-for-hunters (https://www.ctcustomairguns.com/hectors-airgun-blog/nur-fur-jager-only-for-hunters) and got one from Hector. Skip down to the section called "the Scope"

The QB78 I have was impossible to get a decent cheek-weld with even with a low scope mount. This is my solution. Boiling water heated it enough to allow a suitable bend. Eventually I'll drill a few holes in the stock and make it a bit sturdier than with the velcro. (It ain't pretty, but the target doesn't mind.)
It did help cut the group sizes quite a bit.
Luck,
J~

Goose,
thats exactly what I was gonna do. Just reuse the exsitng hardware so no velcro needed. Kydex is easy to mold and shape witha heat gun. Great idea on the velco though.
