.....might have to order one next week ;D ;D ;D ;D

Pirate, I knew you would have to have one, look at all dem dere monster calibers you pack in your arsenal. :o
On the .25 XL...
Did they change the specs on this rifle? Some places I see 725, with alloy. Below is the text directly from the Crosman site.
"With 30 ft-lbs of muzzle energy, and velocities of up to 800 fps (using alloy pellets), the fearsome NEW XL725 provides 24% more downrange energy than a .177 caliber offers. This is the most powerful Nitro Piston break barrel available"
Sure would be nice if it errors on the high-side. ;D

Haven't seen or heard of a manufacturer specification error on the "high" side. Particularly when it comes to fps. Can't imagine why, seems it would be a great selling point. Getting more than you bargained for.... what a novel idea!

hahahahahah......ya, that should spread through the forums like wildfire. Kind of a reverse psychology thingy.

i bet the xl725 would be a fantastic bandit hunter... where's Ed????

What am I missing here? If the .25 XL shoots alloy pellets at 800 fps, lead pellets would probably be traveling what, 600 fps? Wouldn't a .22 XL shoot a heavyweight pellet just as fast, if not faster, than that?

Sorry. I was not clear.
Which is correct? (new question)
PA = 725fps
Crosman = 800fps
-------------------
Was it always 800fps at crosman.com? or did something change. (original question)
The attached image, and associated text stating 725 fps is from PA's site. (current)
Sure would be nice if it errors on the high-side.
Clarified...
Sure would be nice if the actual crosman XL725 performance is on the high-side. (800fps .vs. 725fps)
By design, not accident.
Thanks.

Alan, thanks for the clarification, that's what I was trying to get at. I am dying to try one of these but have resigned myself to waiting till next year when I can purchase just the barrel from Crosman and switch it back and forth on my 1100.
