Wuzz Gowin Owin Peeple? 8)
Well, I have been shooting some JTS .22 Caliber Dead Center lead domed pellets in 18.10gr and believe me when I tell you this guys and gals, these suckers are NICE! Packed with foam top and bottom, bright clean lead with little to no deformity, screw off lid... These things are pretty cool. If you want to see them for yourselves, check out this video Airgun Angie put out from Shot Show 2023 that she is sharing on her Facebook (https://fb.watch/iqJzuyBcUx/) and Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/reel/CnmZs_vB_Ek/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link) pages.
So far I have shot them through five different PCP's. Loaded one mag with my goto ammo which is JSB Diabolo Exact Jumbo Heavy .22 Cal, 18.13 gr, and loaded a second mag with the Dead Centers in 18.10gr. The results are equal or better grouping on the same target at the same distance.
The PCPs I shot them through so far are:
- AVA Bullpup and Conventional
- Gauntlet 1
- Huben K1
- Brocock Commander
- FX Dream-Tac Compact
The distances were 50 and 75 yards and if I did not load the magazines myself I would swear I was shooting nothing other than JSB. This is going to allow a lot more shooters to afford to shoot clean well made accurate ammo.
Great so far, I'm going to do a video of these in action in a series of short videos, like 2mins each or something that showcases these things in action. I love it when something elevates our sport and saves a few bucks at the same time! :D

Just received a few tins of .22 & .25's myself.
Not shot em yet, but looking them over very very well formed / uniform looking.
Clean and chaff free in aluminum screw top tins. 250ct in .22 & 150ct in .25
-
Looking forward to trying some out in .22 soon!
-
how do i get some of these?
-
It's good to see some reviews landing. I'll try a tin or two in 22 cal when they are available. The slugs are what I'm excited about.
-

They are being shipped to resellers as we speak. They were just officially announced at Shot Show 2023 but as we all know, there is always a bit of a delay in the "hands on product" from what we see at Shot Show.

me too!

There are a few of us who are fortunate to be Testers / Reviewers ahead of normal distribution channels.
What we seeing are not Beta testers, but actual production pellets in full retail packaging.

Got to get out for a bit and shoot some .25 cal JTS 25.4g pellets at @ 80 yards.
Shot from my WAR Flex which sports a 22" LW choked poly barrel.
Speed @ 950/960 FPS
Nickle / Quarter size groups off shootin sticks and stool ..... No fliers noted in @ 30 or so shots.
Looks very promising 8)
-
Just in shooting some .22 JTS 18.1 pellets .... Tad fast ... but WOW !!
Shot from the JSAR Raptor which sports a custom 26" TJ's 3 groove.
Speed @ 1020 fps ( slow as my current set up can go at 1600 psi )
Stayed on my 60 yard targets and even at this speed easily Nickle size groups, Few outliers/fliers tho still inside a 50 cent piece. * Yes a Tad too fast, good test tho !!

Has any mention been made of the expected price of these? Sorry if I missed it.

My understanding is the .22 Caliber 250 count tin will be $8.99 per tin (full sleeve purchase) or $9.99 per tin single tin purchase.
***EDITED***
22 Caliber 250 count tin will be $9.99 per tin (full sleeve purchase) or $10.99 per tin single tin purchase.
I received a gentle corrective nudge from the Executive Vice-President of JTS Group on the pricing.
I have adjusted my site accordingly

Read ... 8.99 per in 10 tin sleeves, 9.99 each in cardboard hangers
-
So, about $20 / 500. . . About the same as JSB?
It looks like 4 tins at pyramid air is $68.97 plus $8 shipping is about $77 per 2000 rounds. That's ab 3.8ç per round.

I am a bit confused. I have read many times that a jsb is most stable amd accurate at betwee 860 and 900 fps. Why the need for over 100 fps? AM I reading misinformation?
-
We who are just testing are varied ... myself I'm pushing them hard transonic because i can. Is it a requirement ? don't think it is.
Other will test them slower ... data data data is what cumulatively we're doing.
It is pretty universal that JSB testing has shown what speed range they do well at. Were simply exploring what these JTS pellets can do equally.
There NOT JSB clones, shape differs, CG differs and so on.

Scott mentioned that his rifle is so powerful that he can't slow it down anymore without completely re-tuning the rifle. Oh well, just shoot it and see what happens. The result was that it did much better than it should have. It really is good information. There is a lot of interest for these right now.
Side note: just because Scott shoots these well dosen't mean that YOU can. Scott is a very accomplished marksman, and tuner with a very special rifle.

There is no need to speak for me or assume the reason for the methiod of my personal testing.
The actual data of if or not these JTS pellets are fluff or substance will soon enough become fodder for all to feed upon or avoid.
Ones personal ability to shoot accurately is only as good as the ammunition they shoot threw a capable gun .. no less, no more.
Lets just keep the conversation light and on subject ... Thank you.
-
Would twist rate and barrel length also have an impact on results?
Am I right in thinking that fps is not the only factor in accuracy?
Oh, and thanks all, for the replies on the cost.
-
Thank you Scott
-
It's fair to say that I'm on the hunt for the "perfect pellet" and I will indeed try the JSB pellets in the Airacuda to see how they perform.

A junk barrel, over bore, sketching rifling & surface finish, jacked up leade / crown etc is not going to shoot any pellet decently.
Speed should not mater much if talking about slower that 900's if the barrel allows the pellet to leave muzzle yaw & wobble free it should fly well as reasonable distances based on speed traveling.
Said .....
Yesterday ...
.22 cal in the TAIPAN Mutant ( CZ barrel ) 930's
.22 cal in the Daystate Redwolf ( LW 12g choked ) 870's
.22 cal in the JTS Airacuda standard ( factory barrel ) 850's
All shot great and shocking accurate
-
These look worth checking out. Thanks OP.

Mike at Flying Dragon Air Rifles ( http://flyingdragonairrifles.org/index.php?route=common/home (http://flyingdragonairrifles.org/index.php?route=common/home)) will be selling these in bulk for a nice price. He told me today that his inventory should arrive before the end of the week and he will be updating his website very soon... stay tuned!

unless i missed it,
what weights will be available in .22 ?
-
Long term, there is supposed to be several weights, but first batch .22 cals are 18.1 gn.
-
Hey guys,
I added a short but sweet little video to my original post.
Enjoy!
-
First guy in the USA to get them in stock! Now that’s believing in a product right there.
-
is there a list of where we will be able to get these?
unless i missed it,which is possible lol
-
I just got them in here in Canada now.
Costs me a bit more with customs fees and extra shipping costs but trying to keep price as competitive as I can.
I removed the links as I realized it's probably inappropriate for this thread. My apologies
-
Well with all the recent storms out here on the East Coast of the US, things have been delayed for 5 days. I was supposed to have my shipment on the 26th and the freight is stuck in a warehouse terminal 50 miles out for the past 3 days.
I hope to have them in by Monday ::)
-
Yeah, this crazy weather around the country is wreaking havoc on shipping everywhere.
Best to just be patient.. it's easier on the blood pressure.. ;)

I've been using these pellets from JTS for sometime. They are high quality and come well packaged and polished. I did some chrono testing them in the 22.01 gr. and 25.39 gr sizes with my Air Venturi Avenger X rifle. I also tested the JSB 25.39 gr pellets and posted the FPS results in the attachment if anyone is interested can view.
