Title: Marauder Gen 1 Trigger on Fortitude Gen 2
Post by: RansomHunter on January 10, 2023, 10:03:28 PM
Hello. I just bought my first PCP, a Benjamin Fortitude, and want to replace the trigger. In the past I  replaced the trigger group on my 1322 with the Marauder pistol trigger group and  I read that the Marauder Gen 1 trigger ( part 1763A105 ) will fit onto the Fortitude Gen 2 but it needs a spacer between the air tube and the trigger housing itself in order tom have the sear properly engage the hammer. So, my question is first will the gen 1 Marauder trigger group fit the Gen 2 Fortitude and if so does it need a spacer? Thank you for helping.

The MRod Gen 1 trigger will fit the Discovery, but it needs a 1/32" spacer.... Lloyd used to make fancy aluminum ones, but I have found that a 1/32" thick nylon washer works perfectly.... It will curve to fit the tube and the top of the trigger assembly.... I'm pretty sure the Fortitude uses a Disco trigger, if so, you should be fine....

One word of caution.... When installing any drop sear trigger (like the MRod), you MUST pull the trigger while tightening the mounting screws.... If you don't the sear (which cannot drop unless the trigger is pulled) will press on the bottom of the hammer, and when you tighten the screws you will break the sear.... Been there, done that....  ::)

I ended up not using the spacer on my Fortitude. I took have broken a sear lol. If I remember right the reason I didn't use it is because I didn't like the light sear engagement it produced in my fort.

The tube on the Fortitude, like the Disco, is 0.065" wall, while the MRod trigger is designed for a 0.095" wall.... The sear may prevent complete release of the hammer without a spacer, but of course you do not want it too thick (0.030" is correct).... If you are using the PRod trigger, no spacer is required, nor should one be used, because the PRod tube is 0.065" thick....
