Title: Casting ??????Kinda
Post by: thumbs on December 07, 2022, 05:48:38 PM
Just wondering if anyone has shot 3d printed pellets and if so how did they work out? I was thinking about printing a few but didn't know if they would cause any damage to the barre.  I was gonna shoot them mostly in my 2240.  Obviously close range stuff but it they work out I may try them in an Avenger.

Just printed 10 of them.  Not exactly JSB quality.  They are a bit rough but who knows they may work for very close range.

Oh if this belongs somewhere else please move it.

thanks

I made some .22 before.  Had to change layer height to make a smoother pellet.  They weighed so little at 1.9 grains.  The purpose was 15 feet and under mouse hunting in the garage. Effective.

Using a Beeman P19 with smooth bore in .22.

Not real effective past 3-4 yards.  Accuracy, nah, not even a reality.  Short distances okay.

I believe there was a member here that printed pellets, they were designed to incorporate a BB in the tip. They seemed to be effective.
