My 357 Benjamin Bulldog is about a year old now and has started to slowly lose air... About 700 psi over 3-4 days. For example, I put about 2800 psi in it Sunday, and this afternoon it was reading around 2000-2100.
Any tips on trouble shooting these sorts of issues?
BTW I haven't replaced any seals yet in this since I got it, is it time to redo those? I've been doing the other regular maintenance like using silicone oil & chamber lube. Thanks!

all I can think of is tracking down where the leak might possibly be. Put a balloon over the barrel and see if expands overnight. Check your fill valve and the valve in the breach, soapy water and look for bubbles.
Mine developed a leak as well, but I think it's from the fill valve. Probably just need to remove it and clean it out, possibly replace an oring.

Any mods? If not, it may be some dirt on the fill port check valve or around the poppet seat itself. If it's the check valve, no need to tear it apart thankfully. If it's not the check valve, go ahead and replace the orings while you have it apart. Preventive maintenance is never a bad thing. As suggested, soapy water and the balloon method will tell all. In order to perform the Ballon method the barrel shroud will have to come off.

Fill to 3000 psi
Spray soapy water on it.
Remove it from the stock.
Captain O-Ring sells really nice kits with all seals.
Remember to degas the gun before removing anything except the stock and barrel.
YouTube bulldog disassembly.
Plenty of vids.
Think small and big.....check the fill port check valve.

Thanks all, going to try all those tips this weekend.

Mine had a very small leak develop at the fill nipple. Pitbull airguns says 90% of the time when they leaks it is there! "Possible cause is dirty, moist air"
Soapy water probably works best to find the leak. I got lucky finding my leak, using silicon spray to get lube inside the gun I sprayed the fill port before connecting my scuba tank... and saw bubbles at the threads! Since I already have a Captain O-ring rebuild kit, just replaced the O-ring going into the receiver under the fill port adapter, cleaned and changed Teflon tape on the fill port and air gauge. It has been holding 3,200psi for months, no more leaks.
For reference it was about a year before that bulldog developed a leak, and it was only filled from a scuba tank fed by a Yong Heng with two inline filters.

We must be twins! Same gun, same compressor, same filter setup, and I'm using a scuba tank...
I'm going to try and order that o ring kit tonight. Even if it's not that o ring at the fill port, it's probably time anyway.

I was going to start trouble shooting that slow leak today. Was turning the gun over and heard a rattling sound in the butt-stock. I took the rubber end piece off, and a little screw dropped out. It looks like it's #29 from the parts list for the receiver (I attached the parts list below with #29 highlighted).
Anyone know what that screw #29 is supposed to be holding in place? I'm going to try and take the cover off tomorrow to verify, but I'm just interested in what it should have been doing.
-
That screw goes into the side of the hammer, through the slot in the receiver. Apply a little blue loc-tite on the threads and that will stop it from coming back loose. I applied blue loctite to my hammer tension screw so my settings never move...
I even have RED loc-tite on my barrel screws and shroud mount because there is no need to remove those for me. I can change the breech o-ring with the barrel in just fine, and I do not plan on modifying my barrel or valve. Mine makes 206 fpe just self tuned and lubed, tension screw turned in one turn from stock.

Thanks, I'll hopefully have time to get the shroud and stock pulled off tomorrow and get it back in there.
I was going to take off the fill valve as well to get to that o ring. I couldn't find any videos of pulling that valve off. Anything I should know? Lefty-loosey?

Cant post a link. Search Youtube Pitbull airguns has a new teardown and reassembly of a new Bulldog...Title of the video is: "COMPLETE Benjamin Bulldog Teardown & Reassembly"

Thanks, I had no idea they posted that. When I searched for take down vids the other day it just showed me the same 3-4 videos I already viewed that were made like 10 years ago. That one is much more helpful!

I finally had a chance to break down the gun tonight, and it looks like the fill nipple adapter cracked (picture below). Is that nipple adapter a standard piece of hardware? Or, do I need to get one from Crosman?
-
Oh wow , No Bueno... I would personally contact Crosman, and try to warranty that part! Their customer service is pretty good... I have ordered parts from them for years and also sent my Marauder back for warranty in 2010 for a stripped screw in the valve that I messed up.
They probably charge like $5.00 for that part.

Those parts are probably cheap, probably less than shipping cost. I'd get valve parts too because they are only a few dollars each, then you have parts you can mod.
