Been trying to site in my model 5 iron site in at 15 ft. Been up and down and never come close to hitting in a 1" circle. So was thinking red dot on a picitinny rail. Anyone else think this might work?

So a rail you could bolt on where the site goes?

Yes that's what I was thinking. What it looks like under the site. Not very big screws holding it in place.

design the rail with the same diameter curve the compression tube has, and use a strip of _good_ double sided tape whne you screw it down.
-
Easier ... Place a small extension on the FRONT site post.
This will allow a Zero range shorter than site allows as it comes from manufacturer

Not looking for easy. I would prefer the red dot thanks Motörhead. I didn't buy a printer to just look nice on the desk lol. I could do it with 11mm dovetail to picitinny rail not a lot of support on 2 smail screws.

Looks like it could come down 1/4" if it fit like a saddle lol.

The OD on the Diana 27.77mm by my caliper. Bottom of original site.
