Just bought some Hades from Dead Eye Dick they are made by jsb and have a Philips screw type slot in the head. Quite expensive here at $28;00NZ for 250 tin very rifle friendly and worth trying I think they are only in .22

They are also available in .177 .25 .30 and .35 is coming if not already available. And yesthey are expensive.

They are a semi-wadcutter and they seem to produce tissue damage as expected, meaning somewhere between a dome and a wadcutter. And they hold their accuracy past the typical 25-35 yard limits of wadcutters, but not as well as a good dome past 50-60 yards. So I’ve used them a bit on gray squirrels and they do well but recovered pellets show no meaningful expansion or “blooming of the petals” claimed by synthetic tests with water jugs or clay. Overall I have been pretty underwhelmed and can’t say they have any particular advantage for the type of hunting and pest control I do.

Thank you for that opinion. I don't doubt it's validity. From my point of view I think any pellet that hits small game with a good smack is adequate The fist hurdle of getting the pellet in the right place, let alone hitting the target is the biggest factor in the success of the shot. The Hades just seem to shoot better groups from my BSA/Gamo and better rabbit kills . Maybe it is just a better barrel, pellet combination.

Hades are my goto for sub 20yds ratting.
They don't open up at 650FPS, but they pass through much less than domes, and make a satisfying smack sound.

The squirrels in my neighborhood hate them in 22 and 25 cal lol.
