Title: Hatsan Hercules Bully Port Cover bent?

Mine is bent upwards in the area where the cap screw passes through the slot over the hammer area.
Is that normal? Maybe for tension to the underside of the cap head?

I removed mine altogether and just use a 3D dust plug you can find on eBay. On mine the factory metal cover when open was still too close to the fill port and the chances of nicking the fill probe o rings were high.

Thanks for the tip. I will probably do that.. or, I already have an extra probe with a rubber cover. I think the covers I have will fit the 1.8 BSPP threaded ones I got with the Hatsans.. A metal dust plug! I don't even need to buy a plastic one. He he..
I was thinking Hatsan would send me a replacement for free if it is not supposed to have a bend in it.
But, you are right.. it is not a necessary part.
