I needed a new scope for the .177 Gauntlet and I don't like paying more for a scope than I did the gun. I try to keep the cost of scopes less then $100.
I bought a Sniper a while back and it's been on the BSA Buccaneer and doing a very good job for me. So I ordered this one.
In the meantime I robbed the one from the Buc and put it on the Gauntlet.
The new one arrived a couple days ago but it came with picatinny rings. I needed dovetail rings. This scope is also 30mm.
I went to Ebay and ordered 2 sets just to have a spare.
This morning when I woke up the thought came to me that I may have a dovetail to picatinny adapter in the shop. To my surprise I found a set of 30mm dovetail rings that I forgot I had.
I grabbed another cup of coffee and mounted the new scope on the Buc.
I like these scopes.

very interesting in some of the design attributes ...

Turret caps as well ocular focus lock rings appear identical to the OLD Hawke sidewinders. Side focus and illumination too.
6.5-20x42 also matches the obsolete Hawke ???

Wonder if same factory and dumping or using parts & pieces to build them that once was proprietary to the other brand.

Looks like a LOT of scope for $100, tho reviews state differently  :P

Yep, I did read some of the reviews and if I didn't already own one I may not have bought a second.
Everything seems to work as it's supposed to on this one but in all fairness, I have only mounted it so far.
I will sight it in this evening and shoot with it. The other thing is, I only have them on PCP guns. I don't know if they would hold up to a springer.
BTW.. I don't use the IR features so I've never even put a battery in them.

In Texas Precision's "Best Sellers" section that scope is $179.

Yup, seen that too.
Funny that Texas Precision is the seller on Amazon and my scope was shipped from them in Texas.

Ya it looks like Hawke bits on there. I do like my Hawke version of that scope. I have a 3-12x32 Sniper with a lit FFP chevron reticle the size of a bug buster. Have it sitting on a Prod works great; iitc it was 100$

Let us know how yours works out.
