Title: Hatsan 95 recoil stop plate screw torque?
Post by: Jay308 on July 27, 2022, 06:28:54 PM
The recoil stop plate flew off today and I’m going to put blue loctite on the screws, but I’m not sure on the torque spec of the screws.  Thanks

Not sure there is one but I've also honestly never looked. Clean both the screw holes and screws with alcohol to get and grease and gunk off and out, dab of Blue Loctite or Vibra Tite VC-3 on the threads and then just screw themed them in tight by hand and let set overnight.

Thanks, I will just snug them up by hand.

I ordered the Hawke 2 piece 1” offset rings, based off your other posts and I will move the plate to the front holes.

I planned on 30 in/lbs for ring bases and 15 in/lbs for the ring caps with purple loctite.

I hand tightened the screws with blue loctite, I slid the recoil stop back and snugged the screws and then gave it about 1/8 turn.  I believe if you used a torque driver it would not end very well.  So, thanks for the advice.
