Good morning folks. Well, I sent the Aspen back, pump handle problems. Now I need to replace it. I have several open tins of .25 and nothing to shoot them with. I am thinking about a gas ram gun, I don't have any support tanks and hand filling a .25 just doesn't seem really fun. Although I'm sure I could be talked into it. I already own a Hatsan Proxima in .177 that I really love. My first instinct was to just buy a .25 Proxima and be happy. Then I thought I am in no hurry, let's get some input from others. On PA's site the Proxima is selling for $417. So that will be my high target. If I could spend less my wife would be happy. All you .25 owners please feel free to chime in, love to hear your opinions!

Hatsan Vectis, Flash or Flashpup maybe. 165cc tanks and pretty easy to hand pump. I have Flashpups in both bolt and side lever. 39-40fpe from the box,
more with some tinkering if you wanted more power. Definitely under your $417...lol.
Not many companies still make .25 springers/gas rams but Hatsan, Gamo and Crosman/Benjamin have a few. You can check through those Gates to see what
members are saying or ask about one you might get interested in.

The Flash is on my Radar. I own a AT44 from Hatsan, hmmm I guess I like Hatsan! I wonder if it uses the same fill probe?

Galatian QE III, Flashpup woodw/ bolt action and Flashpup synthetic sidelever all in .25 caliber. Yep, they all use the same probe...lol.
Also own 6 Hatsan springers/gas rams in .25. Don't own any of the bigboys from 125 and up but my smaller 95's and such
are nice little 18-20fpe hammers out to 30ish yards.

If you want to stay with springers in .25 Hatsan 95 and 125 - 135 are decent rifles.
-
Check the new .25 Gamo out... Its a gas-ram .25 break-barrel, comes with a scope too.

I vote with James. Get a .25 cal Hatsan mod 95 or mod 125. The mod 95 is relatively handy (for a springer) and makes about 20 fpe (real world) with 20 grain FTT. The mod 125 is a ridiculously long, heavy, awkward beast. But if you get a good one it is a ridiculously long, heavy, awkward, accurate, powerful beast

True words!
I've got more squirrel, rabbit, starlings, HOSPs, and chippers bagged than you can shake a case of JSBs at with my gas-piston Hatsan 96QE. It earned the nickname Thumper using Polymags, but it shoots H&Ns, JSBs, FX, Polymags, and Matt's Murder-Wads (Matt = Insanity here on the GTA) with authority. TBH, the velocity of the 95QE in .25 is ideal for Polymags and wadcutters, but good luck finding .25 wadcutters except for casting your own :(
If I end up buying another .25 PCP it will be a Hatsan Vectis. Lever-actions are sweet on a PCP.
