Title: FWB seals and bumpers manufacturer preference
Post by: bchannell on July 19, 2022, 08:03:23 PM
I have a bunch of FWB 300s rifles and am stockpiling some parts for future rebuilds. I have rebuilt some with Macari seals and some with FWB replacement green seals. I was wondering if anyone has used the Air Venturi sets to rebuild with. I have a set in hand but not had a chance to use them but they do feel much more pliable than any of the others. The FWB replacement sets seem in the middle and the ARH seem hard as rocks.

What do you use and recommend for these rifles?
Also which spring do most prefer?

I have used them all.  I do prefer ARH seals, the breech seals from him need a little fitting on the length, but seem like the will last for a very very long time.  I installed the Air Venturi seals in a mini for my brother I believe, and they just seem soft with almost little to no compression on lock up if your into that kinda thing.  The FWB green seals feel like hard plastic, and seem okay I suppose.  I did do a tear down on a low mileage rifle with those seals and the bumper had a fracture starting, so was it a fluke?
