Title: .177 362 tackdriver.
Post by: Mintyman on July 02, 2022, 05:32:20 PM
Finally got it dialed in. 8 pumps, 797fps and same hole accuracy with H&N Baracuda hunter extremes. 24” barrel steel breech with MellonAir .177 flow thru bolt. Bugbuster scope to top it up.
 3 shots same hole.
Squirrels beware. Lol

That's pretty cool.  How long is the factory barrel? What distance was the group shot at?

15 yds at the moment. It’s a 24” disc barrel. I’m shooting baracuda 10.65gr now. I’m gunna setup at 50’ next.
It’s the best, flattest shooting gun next to my tuned Big Cat.

Out to 50’ with similar results. 😁
I’ve got my new favorite .177 shooter and squirrel gun.
I’m pretty sure it’s been done and said before but the 362 is an awesome gun in .177 cal.
Crosman should make it available in .177.
I’m thinking of going 24” in .22 on my other.  Ill need more punch outta the pump and valve though. But to get similar fps and flat shooting but it’s prolly not worth it.
The  Gsmo Big Cat I tuned packs a punch and is dead on but it’s like a mousetrap springing after a shot. Lol

.  How long is the factory barrel?

Congrats minty man……..stock 22 is..21”…..my .177(24”)  shoots similar …but its not hot rodded …my kind of shooting only calls for 4 pumps…good luck

Mines not really “hot rodded”. The guts are still stock.
I also mostly shoot 3-4 pumps.
It’s nice to know I can pump it up and stay accurate though.

Happy 4th!

Very nice group Greg... very tight!  8)

I have the .22 Disco on mine and it does pretty well at 20 yards using 14.3 Crosman super points. No hotrod mods in mine either but at 4 pumps it does 3/4" groups or better.  ;)

Hi yep the 362 makes an excellent .177 I put a 26" Maximus barrel on mine and with the 7.9g CPHP it is doing well at 835 fps or so... 10.5 CPUM do very well at about 770 fps... the 13.43g Monster do well at 695 fps... all at 8 pumps...

I have yet to mod my valve for volume and flow... once I do I expect it will be about 830 fps with the 10.5g CPUM with 11 pumps at near the same psi as stock gets at 8 pumps....

I have a Daisy 753 barrel weight/sight base on mine as a harmonic tuner...

I have 3 362s and love the platform both stock and modded...

I got the chrono out and might spits out 7.4 gr pellets at 837fps very consistently.  Even 4 pumps I’m over 600fps. It shoots so flat and accurate. I love this gun! I’m not messing with this one anymore.

I just discovered I’m “free floating” the barrel. I forgot to snug down the front band set screw. I would hear a little click sound as I dropped the forearm down on the bag.
I snugged that screw down and my hole in hole shots disappeared . I loosened it up and back I’m back to 1/2” groups at 50’.

At first I had mine free floating and it did pretty good that way... tightened it down and just like yours accuracy went away...

But  when put 8 pumps into it and then tightened the grub... on mine that is what works best over a range of pumps...
