Title: FX .22 caliber 15.89gr
Post by: Jeffrey Harvey on June 22, 2022, 05:35:36 PM
Does anyone have experience with the above FX pellets? My Weihrauchs shoot  the JSB Jumbo exact 15.89gr well & I hoping some of you have experience with the FX pellets that you can share.

Somewhere along my learning curve I found out that JSB, FX, and AA are all essentially the same pellets.  I have not visually compared them side-by-side, nor tested them against each other to prove their similar performance.  In my testing recently, JSBs were tops in one gun, a close 2nd in another, and AA was tops in another.  Not springers, though.  Anyway, fair bet if JSBs did well, the FX will too.

Yes I’ve been doing some testing between the JSB 15.89, FX 16 and AA 15.89 pellets as the JSB’s I buy keep arriving damaged. Few things I’ve noticed so far.

They are all visually slightly different. The AA has a different head shape to the JSB and the FX is taller with a thicker, more solid skirt. The FX holds up best in a self indexing mag and shoots well at high power.
The AA and JSB shoot a little better in my lower powered guns, probably due to the softer skirts or softer lead overall.

Both AA and FX have been shooting almost identically to sorted JSB’s, without the sorting.

The FX pellets look and feel highest quality, I’ll post some photos once I have enough posts.
