Are Mendoza air rifles still in production and is the Beeman Jackal a Mendoza product?
Thanks.

Yes, but where you can get one short of straight from them is anyone's guess. There were a very small handful of retailers here
in the US. On your side of the pond, not a clue.

I didn't truly dig for info on the rifle you mentioned but from a year and a half old Youtube video, it kind of looks like Mendoza
made them for the Beeman/Marksman side of things:

There are a few videos on Youtube and are available in the UK as the Beeman.
Mendoza air guns were imported as "Mendoza" awhile back but weren't that popular.
Seems like the Jackal is made in China, pity I wouldn't mind a Mexican oddity for my collection.

I tried emailing Mendoza several times over the last few years, even translated to Spanish.
Never did get a reply. ::)

I e-mailed them once several years ago about a gun in .177. A lady responded and said they only made guns in .22. Anything in .177 was old stock. They seem to still be making the old springers with the dual safety levers and dual triggers but now they have gas ram line of guns with single blade triggers and a safety lever inside the trigger guard in front of the trigger.
Mendozas are an aquired taste. (I know, don't eat the guns) They have their own little quirks. The down swoop of the bottom of the stock. The barrel is attached on top of the barrel block instead of inside of the barrel block same as my Spanish made BSA Super Sport SE springer. They are the only big springers I've seen with an oil hole in the receiver and a felt oiler in a slot around the piston. They have a red spot of paint on the piston shows through the oil hole for a "gun cocked indicator".
I have several including a couple of repeaters with tube magazines, a dual cal. made for Hammerli, a couple made for Crosman with single blade triggers and a few others. They ain't German but they're pretty good guns.

I think a few of the tech force rifles were made by Mendoza, though good luck finding one. I had an RM 200 in .22 for a while. I bought it used from Pyramyd and it dieseled forever before settling down though the barrel fouled with carbon till the day I sold it. It was light and handy, the trigger was decent-the double bladed style. The big issue for me was the scope would not stay put no matter what I tried. It was also built like a tank.

After 5 years I STILL want a Mendoza Quetzalcóatl,

This bella dama introduced me to them in Riviera Maya.

Moved to the Spanish Gate.

The Tech Force M8 was a small gun like the RM200 with a dual trigger. The Tech Force M12 was a full size springer with a single blade trigger. They were marketed by Pyramyd. Neither had the usual Mendoza oil hole. They did have that Mendoza swoop down butt stock. They were nice looking guns. I sold my M8 but still have the M12.

Scott, that's a gas ram, right? Did you get the RM600 and the Quetzalcoatl while you were in Mexico?
-
I do not have a Quetzalcoatl, I want one.... but yes, it's a gas ram.
My RM-600 was a springer I picked up off ebay. But I sold it to Insanity (Matt) at Findlay this year.
When in Mexico is where I learned of them.
-
My RM-600 is back home, untouched by Matt.... and have since picked up a RM-300.
I am now once again in search of a distributor who will ship Mendoza's to me here in the 'states. Mostly for the long wanted Quetzalcoatl

I want a Quetzalcoatl just for the name. Kind of like I want a Diana just because I really like the goddess of the hunt engraving. I'd like to be talking to the guys at the club and casually mention that I bought a new gun, a Quetzalcoatl. Sometimes I want things for nonsensical reasons.
-
If I had one I'd surely sell it to you for that kind of money... :-\
-
Bill, Dude.
That $6,349.00 is Mexican Peso's.. a Peso is ~ a nickel.
1 Mexican Peso equals 0.049 United States Dollar
$310
-
So a peso symbol is the same as a dollar sign?
-
Yep, always has been to the best of my knowledge.
Not like a Euro or Yen.
-
Shows what I know about it. Other than Niagra Falls I've never been out of the country.
-
You poor soul.
This was one day in the Yucatan...
