I’ve been working on this on/off for a bit. I posted it in the big thread.
So far I have it tested in my bolt action hp and Firewalker has a couple he is testing out in his semi.
Results so far seem to be good.
I had to put a pin stop in the ones I sent Firewalker so the bolt wouldn’t slam into the blank hole. The blank hole works nice to stop the bolt on a bolt action and let you know your out of ammo.
This mag design also lets you leave an empty spot and you can spin to it while it’s installed to close the bolt for hunting/carry.
My thoughts are to finish developing then pass the files along. My work keeps me tied up quite a bit and with 16 grandkids, summertime is busy around my place since Mimi has a pool, lol.

I've liked them since I first saw them. Wish you were making them in .25 caliber also. ;D

I think this one would be easy to open to 25 without having to change round count/spacing.

Firewalker,
From the other thread, you said the stop broke. If you can take it apart and get a picture, that would be great.
I had read that the carm mags are known to do this as well. I may have to thicken the stop some. I’m sure it’s the stronger spring pressure that slams the projectile into the stop that did it. I may have to ease up the spring tension some. It’s a trade off for the semi auto ability I suppose.

I wish I had a spare DAR magazine to send you, it has a stop about twice as thick but of course, its also aluminum. Ill pull it apart this evening after dinner and post pictures.

Dave,
I'm sorry it has taken this long to get back to the magazine issue; the piece that holds the wheel by using a simple stop sheared off at the print line. You can barely see the adhesion mark on the back plate.

No problem. Looks like I need to modify some print settings. I’ve not printed with petg before, gonna have to play with that. I’m also going to modify the thickness of the tab. Make it a little thicker.
Thanks,
Dave

I print with PETG almost exclusively. Ill post my CURA settings shortly.
