Title: 1st attempt at 100 with the Cayden
Post by: EdinGa on May 29, 2022, 05:35:09 PM
Not an official target because a have a stray hole at the bottom from trying to get on  paper. I might try again later this afternoon if the wind dies down.

I'm using .2175 17.5gr  NSA slugs.

If I'm not mistaken this is my best 100 yard group with an air rifle. I just need to nudge it over a little more.

Last attempt for this morning. It's too hot and humid now. I'll try again this evening if I have time. At least I'm centered on the bull.

I would be pretty pleased with a group like that.

Thanks, DJ! I'm going for Master before I submit for upgrade. I know this rifle is capable if I can just get the idiot behind the trigger to cooperate.  :D

I'm pretty sure my Eagle Claw is capable of 2MOA at 100y, but I'm definitely not!

You can always go for Expert first, Ed.... all shots in the 9 ring and a 1.5" group C-T-C.... That's nothing to be sneezed at, and getting from there to Master is a big step.... and one I've never made!....

Thanks, Bob. I saved the target, but I know this rifle is capable of better. If I can't get shrink it down some by the time I've finished this box of slugs, I'll submit this one.

Eddie, that's some fine shooting you've done with your Cayden. Don't forget the most important thing, to have fun!  :D

I'm trying to keep it fun but the heat and humidity makes that difficult. 🤣 It's nice to be using a rifle that's capable of shooting like this ones does for sure.
