ive just recently gotten bit by the shooting bug....i mean ive always shot guns and hunted, but i never really sat down to shoot a gun unless it was just random cans or to zero a scope, until this year. So i got out this rws 45 i bought probably 20 years ago at an estate sale....other than a new scope/mount and rough zeroing it, id never really "shot" it. So i was messing with my new gamo extreme and i thought id see what the rws could do.....wow that thing is accurate. I only have 20 yards in my backyard to play with but once i zero'd in (as you can see in the pic), 5 shots are one ragged hole. Super trigger, fit and finish, heck of a gun considering how old it is. This gun has had no maintenance on it, other than cleaning the bore is there anything else i should so?

Very nice ! Do you know the year of manufacture ?

If it's shooting that well I wouldn't do anything to it but shoot it.

how do i tell the year of manufacture? i tried doing a search and couldnt find the info. Does year matter, as in some years are more desireable or valuable?

Very nice

Nice got one myself. On the rear side of the receiver the month and year will be stamped in very small print. The older ones had leather seals and need some conditioner now and then.

I think its the left rear side of the receiver. There will be 4 number like 08 87, that would put it at august 1987.

Thats gonna have leather for sure. Can't be too bad with those groups. Keep it lubed ever 1-2K shots and should be fine.
