turning what did not sell at Findlay into FleaBay Fodder ??? think my Crosman 101's and 104 are going on the 'Bay
-
To me from my last experiences is I would do Columbus or Kalamazoo. Columbus has turned quickly into a first rate show with a lot of traffic given the bigger city. The last time I did Kalamazoo precovid there were lots of vendors but customer traffic was extremely low. I’m not sure I will go back there but Columbus is a must.

Since I had a blast at Findlay, I've already reserved a table for Columbus. I'll probably do Kalamazoo as well.
I have a few things I'd like to put on eBay, but they have raised their cut and you have to use their payment system. So I'm done with them.

I agree Ebay takes too much and then you have the hassle of shipping. A airgun show you can sell and have a great time. Awesome alternative. I find that I am trying to put more reasonable prices at the Show so I can move on and not have to face online sales. Columbus or bust! Bring that Sterling back if you didn’t sell it I may have a moment of weakness. Lol

I already have tables reserved for both shows. WE all need to keep spreading the word about our airgun shows. I had a blast at the Findlay show!! See you at Columbus and Kalamazoo and the Baldwinsville NY airgun show.
-
I'll be at the Kalamazoo show myself.

Just helping spread the word about our air gun shows. What a joyful time Saturday! Sat beside Scott (Hoosier Daddy) and Steve (Flint 45). Absolutely marvelous gentlemen! The enlarged exhibition space was great and offers room to grow in the future. Hats off to Dan and Angie Lerma as show promoters and to their staff for making things run smoothly. Thanks to all the exhibitors who are willing to travel the untold miles to make these shows the marketplace/ museum/ information exchange medium they provide to those in attendance. Salute!!

If you find an alternative to E bay post it, your right the fees are getting insane. LOL

I use Gunbroker when I can, their fees make, sense but the airgun following is not as great as Ebay.

Scott is a hoot. It was nice meeting you. It's great to make local connections.

The guy going around telling people about Columbus show during Findlay said it was more of a weekend event? He mentioned many vendors tend to go shoot after the show Saturday and that there is a Field target shoot Sunday?
I'd be tempted to go if some y'all planned to make it more of a hangout weekend. :)
-
He told me the same thing I would only be able to go on a saturday.
-
Kalamazoo is not sold out!! Dennis was at Findlay and I reserved my tables. Give him a call

Had to be a computer thing, no show sells out 2 months ahead!

Never did the shoot cause I am pretty worn out after the show. You have to realize that there will be a lot of evil PCP’s there with their hideous tanks etc. I thought it might be more than I could bear?
To me it would be fun to organize a vintage shoot! He told me we could do that if enough people are interest?
-
called Baker Airguns the Kalamazoo site is working now, bought a table :)
-
I certainly am interested! Maybe we can introduce some dark side people to their gun's fathers and grandfathers (or just what their Dads had as kids). ;)
Are you thinking Saturday evening or maybe a vintage class for the field target on Sunday? I actually know very little about field target but get the impression it is mostly super specialized stuff like 10m these days? A vintage, guestimate holdover, limited optics class could be interesting and fun if allowed.

A Vintagers shoot would be fun! How vintage though?

Typically a vintage shoot in England would be prewar rifles. That’s where I would be coming from but open to other ideas given that may be too restrictive here in the US? To me it shouldn’t be that serious just have fun and we could try each other guns ones we may never have seen in action.
-
Yeah, as fun as prewar only would be, my only prewars are a Webley Senior pistol and two Crosman 101s haha
When did PCPs get reborn? I'd say anything before that with open sites or maybe era correct optics could be allowed? And/or pre 1993 like this sub is?
If there is quite the variety maybe we can make some sub classes but I agree with 45flint. I'm mostly in it for the fun and maybe getting to try some other old airguns. :)
-
Prewar would be fun, especially if I get the BSA Standard I bought at Findlay redone. I also have a prewar Diana 27 to shoot too.

Nobody states prices on purchases....which scares me.
Just to go and look at over priced goods....no thx

Prices were very good on most airguns, some were a little high but that was not the norm. It’s definitely not like firearms shows recently where everyone thinks their stuff is gold.
I don’t post prices on what I bought or what I sold for. I like to keep my business dealings private.

I don’t think the prices were bad at the show. Saw some which I would consider bargains. I only bought one rifle. I don’t tell prices unless there is a need. I always answer PM.

Thanks for reply.

As always...
The value of something is what someone is willing to pay and someone is willing to sell it for.
You may not be willing to pay as much for something as I would but, then again, you may not be able to get it as cheap as I did either.... ;)

At the Kalamazoo show there's always a really good assortment of vintage guns, I've seen super old Daisy's there before. If I see a Crosman160 there this year I'm going to buy it if it's all there
in decent shape. I usually always see a lot of the old Crosman stuff. Mr. Hollowpoint usually goes there too as well as Baker airguns. I wonder if Bob will be displaying the big bore pistol he's
got with Ted Nugent's signature on it. I think that's one of his favorite pistols. I'll bring my camera with me to take some pic's this year. There's usually Vendor's from all over.
