My friend and I made it to the Findlay Toys that Shoot Show and it was very nice. I was able to meet Hoosier Daddy but didn’t really have time to really sit around and talk with him. The show was in a much larger facility this year, so everything was in one place with wide aisles. I found a few things that I could not live without and several that gave me a severe case of the ‘wants’ but didn’t buy.
When we started home, we decided to hit a few powder gun places and at one I saw a Benjamin Discovery with a walnut stock. I had just recently traded for a Discovery that was used and in need of some finish work and without the walnut stock. The one I saw looked REALLY good and when given the price I said, “I’ll take it.” without batting an eye. The man that showed it to me said that it would be at the counter and then came back and said that he needed to leave and that it was in a box.
So when I was ready to leave, the box (correct one by the way) was on the counter. I opened the box to look at it once more and found that I had just purchased a ‘kit’ package that came with a pump and everything else that came with the kit. I said that it looked like new and was told that they were sure that it had never been fired and was from a collection of powder guns, there again many that had not been fired. So, this is the results.

Wow! Nice find!

By chance did you get the Discovery at Jaqua's.
I have been there, bought a Browning Citori in 1988, my bother-in-law was friends with the owner back then.

Yes, I did find it at Jaqua's. I have seen a few air rifles listed, but I was really surprised that it was there. If you still have it, that is a nice shotgun.

Me and the wife had a great time other than one sale to a real snake :( lol

Always cool to find NOS! Very nice grain figuring in the stock. Looks like some heartwood running through it? I have two rifles that happened to have heartwood running through them.
