I can't wait to get there, play with some awesome toys, and touch base with some of you guys!
-
Looking forward to it!
-
Also looking forward to it, just dread the 5am leave time :( to make set-up lol
-
I know I am! :D
-
Yep looking forward to it.
-
AYE!
-
I'm as giddy as a five year old waiting for Christmas! I've been going through my stuff looking for things I can do without. I'll be bringing several airguns, scopes, pellets and accessories. I've got a table reserved and I'm ready to buy, sell and trade!
-
No one is as nuts as I am just set up my table yesterday in our spare bedroom. 1/2 Display 1/2 for sale. The displays are my Military trainers and a larger display of the prewar airguns from the small German town of Zella Mehlis, home of the original Walther factory. Three airgun factories were there also Tell, FLZ, and EM-GE. Even have a book on the town in the 1920’s-30’s pictures with text in German! Lol. Shameless advertising for the 7 guns I’m selling all collector quality. The Mad Man from Indiana will fill out the rest of the retail space.

Here is my "rough cut"
Subject to change. ;)

Looking forward to seeing everyone. Will have a few tables, lots of guns and even more pellets. Should be a lot of fun.
-

-

:-*

It is. I bought it last April, adjusted the power to an average of 11.5 ft. lbs. I only shot about a tin through it, then I got "shiny object" syndrome. I started messing with other stuff and I hadn't shot it much since.
I won't be heart broken if I don't sell it though ;).
-
Another friend and I will be there around opening time. Hopefully I will be able to put some faces to some names.
-
Hmmm...it's possible that my blood alcohol level was a little high when I wrote that INITIAL POST, but I do appreciate everyone's responses! 8)
If you are a dealer at the show, you'll have a name tag...it might be help the names-to-faces process, to scribble your forum handle beneath your real name?

A couple more days until setup on Friday. A couple of things for those from out of town. Findlay has several great gun stores. Jaqua’s Fine Guns is the oldest (although in a new building adjacent to the interstate) in town. Many classic guns to ooh and ahh about, with prices to match. They serve a worldwide clientele, but also have guns for us common folk, too. Next is TNT, a local mom ‘n pop flavor with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Lastly, is Buffalo Trading Company with a wide variety of guns and supplies with a Wild West decor, including life size Annie Oakley and Buffalo Bill statues, full size Grizzly bear mounts, a Gatling gun, saloon bar and back bar and a gun vault of collectible Winchesters and Colts.
A couple of favorite eateries- breakfast and lunch, quick service and daily specials- Pilgrim Pancake House. Close to Jaqua’s.
Lunch and dinner and adult beverages- West End Tavern. Good stuff. Get a Westender if you are really hungry.
Upper crust- great chefs and service and reasonable to spendy- Fins. My wife claims it the best surf and turf, anywhere.
And for dessert- Dietsch Brothers Ice Cream and Candy. Voted best ice cream in Ohio multiple times.
-
Going to be in the high 70’s. Awesome Spring finally taking hold. Looking forward to the bigger venue.

I can't make a trip to Findlay without stopping at Dietsch Brothers. 🍨
Also, Wilson's Hamburger had good burgers. Kind of a old time place.

This absolutely not fair! I'm too dang far to drive and I totally envy all you guys going.
All I need is parts for crosman 150s.... rear sights and valves especially.

I will be sitting next to the Mad man from Indiana. Probably the only bald man with a ponytail, stopped going to the barber at the start of Covid and got used to it. Willie Nelson or bust.

I used to keep my hair long but stopped for three reasons...
1 got sick of getting my shopping bags checked at the door
2 was jumped in a bar one night and had my hair used as a handle!
3 took my kids out for Halloween, and every one thought I was dressed up as Jerry Garcia from the Grateful Dead LOL

Steve will be the Distinguished Gentleman of us at the table.
I will be the one bouncing off the walls saying "OH LOOKIE.... ME WANT!!!
:D

Thank you for the visual, Scott! I'd probably be like a Down's child in Toys R Us!

Believe it or not.... I have a Top Hat to loan you.
But I need it back at the end... It is a Halloween tradition. ;)

I made it! Got my table set up, walked around and talked to some folks and saw what’s for sale. It’s going to be a good show! Oh yeah, I already dropped 1k on some new airguns. ::)

Ah yes, they will come but I’m afraid there will more to buy! I will create a post in a day or two with my scores.
-
Shot of the Findlay show hall, "The Cube" skating/hockey rink. Great space, 121 tables set up. About half the dealers arrived this afternoon, rest will be here in the morning.
-
Getting excited.
-
Look who we have here.
-
Niiiice! Remind Scott to keep an eye out for a Crosman 150 (for himself) and if you guys spot a rear sight for the Cr150 please get it for me. I will send funds immediately. I'm looking for the all metal one that looks sort of like the 1322 rear sight.
-
Also...if you come across a Theoben Duel Magnum, get me the guys digits.
Thanks

That Webley MKIII was a great buy. I really looked at that one but already have one.

You got that 500 John??
Excellent!
Very nice to meet you and other GTA members.
What a great day!
-
My only regret of the day is NOT buying this Diana 46 Stutzen. But intentionally only brought walking around change.."sell not buy"
It was MINT.... and I am a sucker for a Mancelier stock.
Probably never see another as nice. :-[

Hey Scott! Did you get to play with a Cr150?

It was GREAT!
Met a a few more GTA members and reacquainted some old souls.. ;)
Wish I would have brought more coin.

I was told about the Mk3 and BSA deal I missed haha. Glad they went to another forum member. (I was the one that asked if they were for sale at your table when I didn't see price tags before I heard the full story). Hope you enjoy them! I love my Mk3 and have heard great things about the BSAs.
I got a reseal kit and valve tool for the 101s. Bought a Daisy model 25 made in Plymouth, MI. Need to research what version/years it actually is. Last minute made a deal with HoosierDaddy for his nice Crosman 160. Also grabbed probably far too few pellets. It was great meeting new GTA folks (and non) and catching up with those I met at last years show. It was a great time and a good show. :)
-
1k on them 5 guns ::)
-

No, I dropped 1k the during table set up on Friday for some guns (and some other bits and bobs). I did more buying and trading on Saturday and those 5 guns are the end result of what I left the show with. ;)

I saw that one too, very nice. Years ago I had a BSA Stutzen with a mannlicher stock and I always regretted letting the one go.
-
This was a great event in the new spacious venue. It's always nice to visit with friends from near and far (Tennessee, Texas, New York, Maryland) and see some amazing rarities. Lots of goodies changed hands - my car was much lighter going home. Anyone reluctant to drive a few hours to one of these shows ought to reconsider.

I sold half my guns, and passed on a early HW77 with a blue ribbon AO scope for a very good price ::)-going to regret it for a while. LOL

What's a very good price on the Hw77 w/ scope ?
Nobody is mentioning prices..

I made $320.
Sold a 160 2nd variant and a Mendoza 600.
The funny of the day was a case of .20 JSB with a price of $20.99 on the box... I was digging out my wallet so fast! ;D
Then... out came the sellers calculator.
WHOA.... That price was "per tin" not a case. ::)

I saw those tooI At first I thought that may be for the entire box but then realized it was for each tin. Even though I need some .20's they were a bit too pricey.

I live with the hope that Noe will make a .20 mould from the redesigned @rsterne moulds. I still have several unopened tins of .20 but shoot mostly .22 I cast.

-
If its the 3x9 ribbon with rings. in good shape. 250 ? I sold a beeman stop 65 bux recently. Now Beeman had several models.
