Is it possible to swap the smooth bore barrel from that gamo viper express, onto a Gamo swarm magnum g2. If so, is it any special tools needed to do so. Would be neat to have a shot pattern, with the stronger power plant.

Moved to Gamo & Spanish Gate...

I'm not sure if the barrel blocks and cocking linkage is the same between the two. If they are the same, then it may be possible. I've read that Gamo uses sometimes uses a strong thread locker on the pivot bolt, so be careful if/when removing.
From what I understand, the Gamo "shotguns" are good for only 7-10 yards or so. Never had the opportunity to shoot one myself. If the express barrel is fitted to the magnum power plant, it might extend the range some, or it's a possibility that you'll "blow holes" in the center of the shot pattern. I believe you're in new territory on this one, wish you the best in finding out if you go through with it.

Thanks ez, sure would be fun if it all worked out. I seen stko on YouTube load 4 pellets at a time and call it a shotgun. & that brought out the idea.

I’m running down the same mental hallway, did you make any progress swapping an express barrel onto a larger power plant??

On u-tube there's a video of a Brit converting a .22 B1 or B2 to a shot gun or I guess in the UK a SMK B1/B2. Seems he chopped the barrel and used .22 rim fire cases with holes drilled in the bottoms and shot loaded and steel wool for wadding.

I have wondered along the same lines.
The Express and magnum have very different breeches, but the fusion mach 1 may be a match.
I think an increase in power is only the 1st problem with the express. (Though, intentional, measured dieseling might work, too.) IMO, it needs more shot and a choke to make it effective.
More shot is easy, but the choke is not.
I emailed Mike Ellingsworth (Mr. Stepping Stone on YouTube) and he says a choke is possible by press-fitting a thin sheet metal liner at the end of the barrel.
