I picked up an old Shin Sung Fire 9mm about a couple months ago, I repaired the leaks and did a full maintenance on it, I bought several Round ball ammo's and it hated them, most didn't fit well and some fit good, but all were not accurate, I tried 3 different brands of Round balls, It Hated them, I was thinking that it was the gun that was the problem, but I decided to try a pellet instead, so I bought some JSB .35 Exact pellets, looked online and most all the main suppliers were out of stock, then I found some at Mac1.
WOW what a difference, these pellets shoot straight and with power.... SMACK.... the gun loves these pellets and shoots them with more power than the Round balls, I was getting about 850 fps from the round balls and now with the pellet I'm getting around 980 fps, better sealing in the barrel with the skirt of the pellet and better consistent fit in the barrel, I was getting 1/4" groups at 40 yards, the Iron Targets were spinning good and with the SMACK of the pellet audible, louder than the sound of the moderated gun, I made my own moderator for it, works great, very quiet.
this gun is now ready for some Varmint and Hogs..... ;)

you ain't kidding Manny, this is one of the lightest guns I've picked up, it surprised me when I first got it and it is a powerhouse, I like it, I'm sure you've had one at one time, It's a Keeper.... ;)

I think you are Right Mitchell, it is a good looking gun and has the power and accuracy to take down any Hog. ;)

Indeed, I had a 202 Fire tuned to 200 FPE with the 158gr Snakebite,.....one of these guns I wish I still had for sure.

Kevin- Your experience with the 9mm ShinShung mirrors mine. I cannot praise the ShinSung enough. I don't think it is exactly light, but it has splendid balance and shoulders as good as any rifle I've picked up.
Mine has the English/straight pull stock- just goes to show a rifle can have either and still be ideal- true testament to a lot of thought and consideration put into the design.
I bought both FX and Hatsan 9mm pellets (I think made by JSB and H&N respectively) when I ordered my M25 (also in 9mm). And although I have a sizing die for my NOE slugs, I took a few "let's see what pellets do.." shots and realized I had a dual-purpose rifle. The power wheel works, the linear magazine provides a nice follow-up capability, and the open sights are about as perfect as I can ask for.

Yeah the Ultra is heavyyyyy :) the Fire is light and slim,
both those Sing Sungs are incredible guns in my opinion in their own way,.....I remember when the company stopped making guns and I was sad because they truly made some great stuff
-
Mine is really light, I was surprised, it is easy to wield and feels a lot like the old Ithica feather light shotgun I had when I was a Kid, now if I can get an NOE .36 pellet mold, they're all out of stock right now..... :-[

Looks awesome!
172.82 ft lbs! That will get the job done!
Anything unlucky enough to be on the receiving end of that gun is in for a real bad day!
Is there any similarities between this and the Seneca Recluse 357?

I think it is very much the same with minor changes, but I think the Recluse has a little more power, from what I have read, it's very similar to the 909 as in looks and some functions, way lighter, different rear sights, I have taken both apart and both are same basic design.

The Fire is a multi-shot, Recluse is a single shot. The Recluse used to come in a single or double air tube version. The single tube gives slightly higher velocity shots. But the double obviously has more air volume & gives more shots.
My Piatt tuned, single tube puts out 200+ fpe on full power. The Recluse has a high/low ability by how far back you cock it. Not sure if the Fire has that option or not.
Just got some .357 air bolts finally for my Recluse and hope to try them out this weekend. Weather has been iffy since I got them, but would like to chrony it with them. I assume that the Fire can also shoot air bolts.

That’s interesting, didn’t know there was a multi shot Fire. I’ve got a Fire 201 that is single shot and also has low/high power hammer

Kevin, congratulations! That is a BEAST! I bet you're glad you tried some pellets! Maybe you should try some SLUGS!? Luv to see a pic with a big ole boar taken with it 🤗.

The Fire 201 or 202 ( the one I had ) are single shots same basic design of the Claw, 909, Recluse but slimmer and lighter.
The Sing Sung miltishot .357 is the Ultra.

So apparently I get the whole multi/single shot thing all wrong? ???
