It's raining pretty good here today on the left coast of America and im'e BORED with plinking inside at 10 yards,, SSSOOO, going to put a target up at the 25 yard point, raining to hard to wander down to the 50 yard point and see if rain drops have much effect on 177 pellets from the Diana's. will report back with pics. Will report back before dark.

Looking forward to hearing your results!!

I may be doing the same on Monday, with rain and snow in the forecast.

Well, here are the results, not a great deal of difference that I can see between nice sunny days and then raining pretty hard.
Not enough difference to affect "minute of Gopher" from the back deck to the garden.
Has anyone else noticed much difference with hot or cold and rain or shine?

Not sure if it's the same for airguns but rain doesn't effect powder burners at all. Well at least it didn't for me and other shooters I've discussed this with. I was shooting a 4" round AR 500 plate at 300 yards with a 223 Varmint gun. When it started pouring hard I kept shooting and the POI didn't change an inch.

On a springer the change of barometric pressure associated with rain may affect initial velocity to move the POI at 50 yds.

Yes Ron, iv'e noticed minimal effect of rain when shooting silhouette other than keeping the scope cleared.
I have noticed my Diana's both change poi when the temps are below freezing but always thought it had to do with lubricant thickness. When I scrubbed them down and went to straight moly lightly coated all the poi change went away regardless of temps.
Have a great day, steve
