Thank You!   Not seeing many disassembly/reassembly  instructions.   Kinda flying by the seat of my pants! ;) ;)

Thanks, Robert, I did find this.
From the date, I think mine is Phase 2,(if I got it right).
First 3 digits are 504 so guessing May of 2004.   So 1997-2006...

Does it have a diecast trigger assembly, or a stamped blade and separate trigger guard screwed to the stock?

Congrats! The 392 is a fantastic project gun. They're a lot of fun to tinker with, parts are cheap and easy to find. The die-cast trigger is horrible out of the box but can be made serviceable with some work.

Yes, the valve comes out of the back. You may need to punch it out with a wooden dowel. It has a delrin intake seal, which probably doesn't need replacing. It's got a plunger-type exhaust and a generic o-ring on the outside. Replace those two plus a new pump cup and it'll probably shoot like new. But why stop there? There's so much you can do with that gun. If you enjoy shooting your 1400, I think you'll like the 392 as well. Keep us posted!

Interesting that this does not say Benjamin on it anywhere, but on the muzzle end is the "Warning" and it says Crosman co. Bloomfield, N.Y....

and, this does not have a white spacer behind the butt plate, and is straight cut between stock and fore arm, not angled.

Don't know all the history of it, but somewhere along the way someone removed the spring behind the trigger, probably to try and lighten it a bit.
I went in and looked at the contact points between trigger and sear. Holy smokes! A large ridge on the sear,  from being stamped out.
Stoned that smooth, and also the trigger, and added a bit of grease. Put in a light spring behind trigger, and also replaced O ring on bolt.
Haven't needed to do seals yet.
 Happy results. ;D ;D ;D 8)
