Which do you feel is more rare / sought after ....
Crosman model 1 or the Crosman chrome 2200 ?
I see this chrome Crosman on ebay @ $500 bucks and climbing.

Which do you feel is more rare / sought after ....
Crosman model 1 or the Crosman chrome 2200 ?
I see this chrome Crosman on ebay @ $500 bucks and climbing.
I consider the Model 1 to be the more desirable rifle.
The 2200 actually preceded and outlasted it; the Model 1 was basically a 2200 w/wood furniture.
It was only made for a few years; the 2200 was produced much longer.
As far as the 2200 on the bay, that is stupid money, unless the different colored stock/forearm is some kind of manufacturing goof.
The chrome receiver model typically had very dark brown furniture.
This all being said, I think the more valuable 2200 is the 2200W, with wood stock/forearm.
And, my ultimate favorite is the 2275W 75th anniversary of Crosman.
Other rare birds are the 2100W and the 766W.........
Again, these are my opinions.....the Blue Book tends to agree..
