Title: TX200 breech seal replacements.
Post by: shooter r on February 17, 2022, 03:54:48 PM
Does anyone know the size (mm probably) and hardness of the AA TX200 breech seals. I plan on buying a bag from "the Oring Store". They're Orings and two are needed. AA replacements start at around $8 for the pair! I want to replace them whenever my cocking arm develops a little play. Thanks.

Go for the O Ring Store size 108.  They give the properties of the various materials.  Go for ones with less memory.  I do not store my gun with the cocking lever closed in order not to hold my breech seal compressed all the time.

They are indeed BS108. ID 6.02mm, OD 11.26mm, thickness 2.62mm.

I made some one piece TX200 seals from 90A SHORE polyurethane, and they both worked and lasted well, so if you can get 90A SHORE o rings, they should do fine.

I use the o-rings offered by Air Rifle Headquarters. They seem to last a real long time.

Tom by “less memory” do you mean those with a higher durometer number?

Inside this post is a picture of the orings which I am using.  I have like 50 lifetimes worth lol, but they are cheap ordering from here.  I am currently running a soft oring underneath a high durometer, my thought is the hard seal will wear better against the breech, and the soft seal below will still let the stack up compress.
