Title: pro sport Delrin buttons
Post by: grandad on January 07, 2022, 05:35:18 PM
I am going to make some new delrin buttons for my comp tube, would it be an idea to drill a small hole in the centre to hold some grease  about 1/8 deep 1/16 in diameter or am I talking out the top of my head. Steve!
Ps. I have a lathe and milling machines so it wont be a hack job.

What some people do is drill a very shallow divot in the piston and then glue small pieces of delrin rod in the holes.  They then sand them down to the desired thickness.
The micro grooves in the compression cylinder should hold enough lubricant to keep things gliding smoothly.  The button are as much to center the piston as to add lubrication.  HTH?
